Guehi makes sense to me if they can't hold on to Konate. No idea about the attackers, I guess money from Diaz & Nunez could unlock some transfer. Isak sounds pretty crazy though, would be another 100+ mil move in the same window.

As far as I've understood, at least Liverpool has a pretty strict guideline to not sign players past 26 years or something along those lines. Gyokeres is a 27-year-old with who just had his first world class season in Portugal and doesn't fit the usual development curve of a footballer, so I can see the evaluations on him varying pretty wildly. I guess he could be the next Vardy if things align nicely. Any idea why he's suddenly turning into a goalscoring monster at this age?

Madness Very low net spend the past few transfer windows, basically no spend at all last season when we sold off Carvalho and Bobby Clark and got back Mamar and Chiesa. The season before that we managed to sell off Fabinho and Henderson for a good chunk of cash to offset the amount we spent on our midfield rebuild. This season we're offloading a lot of players so we anticipate the ability to offset a lot of the spending. Selling Quansah for 30m and Kelleher for 15m and hopefully moving on from players like Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, and one of our FBs, we'll be able to recoup a lot of the money we're spending on the big deals like Wirtz and potentially Isak (though I still think that Isak isn't going to happen). Plus, there's no clashing of heads between Klopp and Hughes/Edwards this time around, Slot is working with them rather than almost against them, so it's showing in the transfer aggression this time around. And more money is coming into LFC with how FSG have managed the team the past several years to get us into a position like this. Very exciting times.
