Kimmich is a puzzle, this is proven with how Tuchel is desperate to sign Palinha from Fulham to play as the holding (6).
Gundogan, is just a box to box, he can win you the ball back, can sit in sometimes and will grab you the odd goal, he has only "scored" in his city time, which was madness how he was so clutch, but that City team creates so many opportunities that is the reason why. His record outside of City in front of goal makes more sense to the player he looks like.
I am not saying, these players are bad by the way, i just see them as very similar players which no outstanding role specifically, which again isn't bad but if they are your best midfielders then its very hard to make a team around them.
Pretty much like England when they had Gerrard, Lampard and Scholes right, was just impossible to play all 3 of them, even 2 of them at the same time was hard.
Musiala and Wirz going super sayian by next summer is the only hope for Germany to do well in the championships imo, if not it will be another group stage exit. Which lets be real, is long overdue we can watch Germany not get top 3 every single tournament they enter!!! They deserve to not sit at the top table for a little while longer at least.

Aye they’re not particularly similar players, but they kind of play a different flavour of the same role.
It only really takes a few weeks of getting things together to have a good tournament, even after a long period of turmoil it’s almost impossible for the big boys to miss out of a tournament entirely these days. So a real, real disaster is pretty rare and salvageable with a bit of peaking at the right time.
Also I know I make the same point incessantly but the international game is really almost a completely different ballgame these days with a different managerial skill set. Setting a decent mood and keeping things reasonably rudimentarily tactically with the limited time available is all folks really need to do.
You see the value in what a Deschaumps or a Southgate bring in this regard when both Flick and Nagelsman are trying to bring fancy flourishes to their coaching and it’s just not clicking

Any coach that tries to do club stuff with their national team will fail. Most important thing is make your players feel comfortable off AND on the pitch... Flick and Nagelsmann had great ideas for club but horrible for national team

Have you not watched any cups in the last 10 years? Germany fell of a cliff after 2016 and they are still falling it seems.
Gundogan as the creative and Goretzka as muscle should work just fine IMO. Kimmich can play right winger/ full-back because we are in desperate need of some solid defending. I'm not sure Raum/ Henrichs are cut out to play on that level and Gosens is in a really deep whole right now with his team

Garnacho with an absolute banger. Goal of the year easily.
Liverpool take the point away at the Etihad. Really hope Alisson isn't injured for too long, otherwise we'll likely drop points to mid-table teams for silly reasons. Kelleher has been OK this season in the cup and EL games, but not much better than just average.

27-5 in shots, some massive chances squandered. Right now Dortmund 10 points Newcastle 7 PSG 6 Milan 5, with Newcastle-Milan and Dortmund-PSG as the final two games.
Aw looks liks PSG getting a penalty now.. (Imo incorrectly, especially when it's a VAR-reversion)
And their 31st shot is a goal. Sad!

There is nothing I hate more in the modern game, least on the pitch than the current combo of the hand ball law and VAR. So many unintentional, non-advantageous incidents where the opposing team gets given the 80% chance to score from 12 yards out.
Feels the balance is just totally off

Ah come on. This is bullshit. I feel refereeing/ VAR in and around the box is the worst it's ever been right now.

having a striker who fluctuates between brilliant and terrible is fine, but for a GK, consistency is definitely most important.
