I guess he has shown that he can succeed with a high budget? And probably will do what Boehly wants?

I'm honestly not sure what to expect. In terms of favorites and in terms of peacefulness. Let's hope for the best Predictions: A: Germany Swiss B: Spain Italy C: England ? Maybe Denmark? D: (Group of Death?) France Netherlands E: Belgium Ukraine? F: Portugal Czechia Thirdplace finishers: Turkiye, Poland, Croatia, Serbia

F: Portugal Czechia Thirdplace finishers: Turkiye, Poland, Croatia, Serbia Yes, definitely the excitement is rising fast. In terms of predictions I think there will be quite a few surprises in the groupstage, but due to most 3rd place finishers also advancing, I dont actually think many "big" teams will be going home before the ro16, but it will create a rather imbalanced knockout stage bracket. My uneducated guesses in terms of who will advance: A: Hungary, Germany, Switzerland. B: Spain, Croatia, Italy. C: England, Denmark. D: France, Austria, Netherlands. E: Belgium, Ukraine. F: Czechia, Turkey, Portugal. This would make for the following ro16 matchups: Spain v Netherlands Hungary v Denmark Czechia v Italy Austria v Ukraine Belgium v Switzerland France v Turkey England v Portugal Germany v Croatia ro8: Spain v Denmark Czechia v Austria Belgium v France England v Germany Semis: Spain v Czechia France v England Final: Spain v France Winner: France

But seriously, leaving out Grealish is fine. Looking at the squad, they look light on DMs, not attackers. Bellingham and Mainoo are attackers in my book, Gallagher is box to box, so that leaves Rice and Wharton? They'll run over the weaker teams but will have difficulties against an overloaded midfield like classic Spain.

It'll be Rice and TAA probably, maybe Gallagher will replace TAA for a game or two.

Bellingham and Mainoo are more forward-thinking yes but they also can defend if they have to. Especially Bellingham has been moved further back at Real 2nd half of the season

Especially Bellingham has been moved further back at Real 2nd half of the season I suppose it depends whether Southgate is going to play a 4-2-3-1 with Bellingham as a 10 or a 4-3-3 with Bellingham as one of two 8s... ... but Mainoo as one of the 2 in a 4-2-3-1 will work fine with Rice as the other. Same with Gallagher. I don't know enough about Wharton, but I'd imagine it's the same. I don't think the squad is short of anything in midfield.

Will there be an extra forum category again for the Euro? I've also just created a fantasy league, if there is already one created and I missed the link or someone else wants to make a "more official one", just go ahead and we use that one. TL League code: oxAbMf link to the Euro fantasy: https://gaming.uefa.com/en/eurofantasy/overview

The best english cb duo are Braithwaite and Tomori, none are going to the Euros, the best left backs in England are Chilwell and Shaw, only one is going and he is not fit until matchday 2. One left back in the whole squad. Wharton is going, who has played 13 premier league games, before that was playing in league one!! (Division 3) and is 19 years old....over Grealish who when was fit, Pep would play him in the big games, but he has been out injured a lot this season. Southgate has gone crazy with this team as we have 0 defence, so its out score your opponents or lose horribly.

(Possible/probable exception for the spain/italy/croatia/albania group where I can see all teams go pretty hard against Albania, in the event that one of the teams loses vs the other two.)
