United's lineup, when healthy, are honestly very good, especially defensively. Dalot, Martinez, Varane. Ten Hag actually set the team up extremely intelligently to play counter attacking football against City who didn't have any good wingers this game to take advantage of how narrow United were playing.

the martinez varane partnership is what ten hag has wanted all season. too bad he only got to play that duo like 3? times. martinez in particular completely changes the team imo. ten hag was stubborn about using a single pivot the whole season and we really struggled with centre backs that couldnt use the ball like martinez can.

martinez is going to be a future captain once bruno moves on. guy just elevates the rest of the team and its clear how much the squad miss his presence on the field.

Germany Bundesliga relegation was crazy as well.
Düsseldorf won the first leg away in Bochum with 3:0 looking better in every regard. Second leg was supposed to be a done deal sealing this at home
Then Bochum came out swinging, took the game with 3:0 as well, making it 3:3 overall. Ended in penalties 6:5 for Bochum

I was watching a video about Heidenheim yesterday. In 2007 they were in the German 5th tier. They've just qualified for the Europa Conference League in their first season in the Bundesliga, and they've kept the exact same head coach the whole time.

AC Milan and Roma are playing in my city on Friday. Didn't get a ticket and made other plans because I didn't think that either team would bring anyone of note with the Euros and Copa America so close.

Turns out Olivier Giroud is here for his last match as a Milan player, Theo Hernandez and Paolo Dybala will also play apparently.
