Any idea who's the top candidate for the job? Also a bad decision when you think about that Bayern also is looking for a coach and might steal a potential candidate for Chelsea.

Any idea who's the top candidate for the job? Chelsea’s hierarchy don’t seem to understand that it takes time to get a tune out of a squad with such big overhauls. There’s a reason few clubs even attempt such large turnovers of playing staff, and fewer still do it successfully. Poch finally seemed to have got there gradually and it was knitting together, add to that he’d have (hopefully) had a fit James and Nkunku next season to that mix. Maybe a judicious signing or two and Chelsea feel pretty good to go. I’d feel far more confident as a Chelsea fan currently than a Man United one. Spurs aren’t the finished article, Newcastle have plateaued somewhat and there’s no guarantees that Slot can get a similar tune out of Liverpool right away. Aside from City, and Arsenal if they maintain their current trajectory I don’t really see anyone else that Chelsea wouldn’t be coming into next season with a realistic aspiration of finishing above, or generally competing with. It seems a completely daft time to do it, I can only assume somebody has become available that Chelsea like the look of, if I was to guess I’d say they might have kept Poch before Di Zerbi departed Brighton.

The only issue i have, is the idiots in charge want "someone young and upcoming" to be coach, which is so stupid, by far what we do not need right now, we need a good firm headed coach, to guide these players for 2-3 years, then when we back in top 4 and competing then you can get your up and coming coach who has bunch of 25-26 year old squad of "experienced" players.

Really? Fucking hell that’s a leap for the lad. And into a madhouse at that. If there’s any truth in that, well it’s a big opportunity to turn down but I hope he does
