Chelsea gave a new meaning to the word shitshow this season, and I mean Athletico isn’t exactly a natural fit. Injuries furthermore haven’t helped.
A fair few games of Chelsea’s that I did watch he was their outright best player, or at least generally decent.
He is coming to the age where he’s got to nail it week-in-week-out or he’ll be one of those ‘what if?’ players we look back at 15 years from now.
When he’s doing his thang it’s wonderful to watch, team allegiances aside I do want to see such players succeed. Although rumours are he wants out of Athletico but wants to stay in Spain, I have zero clue what team exists that would want him, that he’d want and that the money would be there to do a deal.
Maybe a swing by Serie A or the Bundesliga might be the destination. I’m not seeing many top 6/7 sides who have a Joao Felix-shaped hole in their squads

I just don't rate him at all, but i have been wrong a lot, i didn't like Tuchel when he was brought in, thought this just screams disaster, but i was very wrong, guy was amazing and what he did for us was amazing, wish he stayed but i do not have the power for that, we miss him a lot!

Ziyech is also going to be gone, Pulisic wants to play so he is off to Juventus, Loftus Cheek is going to AC Milan etc
So as of right now, the only issue we have is the rumoured Khoulabily is not wanted and i think he is good, but we have Colwill, Fofana, Thiago Silva, Badiashile in those positions with us only playing 4 at the back now limits the spots for these guys and especially if they are over 30, but he is on 200k a week so as u say, it is an issue getting him gone. Everyone else though think they are gone.

*Edit - Typos* You are right most games he played he was by far our best player, gliding past people, great first touch and movement on the ball, could pass. However he always ended up failing to score and the red card in the first 60 minutes of his time here also didn't help lol.
We have Nkunku coming in which people might have forgotten as that deal was done last year, so he takes Felix spot as 10 in this Poch system. We need a striker though for all this to work, not even someone to score a lot, just to be a striker as Kai is not that, he is a 10 as well.
I would also prefer to keep Mount of Felix too so i hope that happens.

*Edit - Typos* That's all true but one good season in five years is not good enough. At some point they're just excuses. AM isn't a good fit but it's still one of the best teams in the world. Anyway his biggest problem is that he cost a lot of money and AM aren't willing to take the loss, and I doubt many clubs want to loan him after his spell with Chelsea. He's stuck.
Probably not many people interested, but my local FC just got relegated from the third to fourth division in NL . It's amateur level (semi professional actually but we only make the distinction between professional and amateur) and we were usually a top team but now we got relegated for the first time. Disastrous management the last few years.

Is Nkunku a 10 or just one of those blokes who can sort of play all around the front, off the left, fill in the centre if needed kind of bloke?
I guess there’s just too many moving parts and much remains to be seen, that squad is just ridiculously big and needs at least some trimming. A little competition goes a long way, too much makes it very tricky to pick a side as you have to assess so many players, keep them happy etc.
Haavertz is yet another one. He isn’t a number 9, he has some of the attributes but it’s patently not his game. He’s very classy and elegant I’d like to see him really fire.
But that’s only going to happen if the collective starts firing. A striker to stretch teams, hell even the wingers haven’t been doing a whole load either.
Enzo looks a player, Mount’s done it before and can come again. James may be the best right back in the league and Chilwell’s no slouch on the left, Thiago Silva is a robot.
The 79 new players they signed can’t all be bad.
Having such a shit season may actually be a bonus to the new manager. Usually Chelsea are making a change while still being the Champion’s League and the new man has to win over his new charges, and some have failed over the years.
This crop don’t have much to flex about of late, and they’ll have a professional pride to be that elite, CL and honours-chasing side that they joined in the first place.
I’ll be bold and say I’m pretty confident they’ll get back the top 4 next season. Can’t really put my finger on why! I don’t think any of United/Newcastle/Arsenal are immune from a dud season next time, although I think Liverpool will be back up there too.

If Liverpool get McAllister and Koné then they will compete with City for sure
Also Declan Rice to Bayern maybe? That would be an insane move

Penalties in EL
Roma misses! Twice! First by Mancini, who also scored an own goal. Not gonna be a happy memory this game. xD

Lol. Sevilla EL power > Mourinho Europa power.

I feel very bad for Manchini but happy for Sevilla.

I sorta gradually went from rooting for Roma to Sevilla throughout the passage of that game.

Crazy how Barca are acting as if they could afford Messi

I wonder what witch doctor Sevilla hired to win all these Europa Leagues.

HAHAHA i love mou. honestly the best character in football

That last sentence seems untrue. I don't think he was unhappy about the cards. If Roma had won the match he wouldn't have given a shit about the cards. And if he actually did care about the cards, he wouldn't have had his staff harrass the referees to the extent where they got carded repeatedly, nor would he have set up his team to play such obvious anti-football. I'm not going to praise Sevilla, they deserve part of the blame for this godawful fugly final. But Roma played like dogshit, committing sneaky and disruptive fouls and wasting a shitload of time. If anything, 14 cards is on the lenient side for that match (Sevilla deserved more than they got too). Mou has nobody to blame for that but himself.

The end of the Guardian article about it amused me:
Mourinho referred not long before his car-park behaviour to the need to keep one’s dignity. “I told my players you can lose a match but never your dignity,” he said. “We lost today but we did not lose our dignity.”

So barca banned from euro competitions for 1 year?

He’s the best character in football in much the same that CombatEx was the best character in SC2
It’s just salty moaning and consistently poor sportsmanship with none of the charm and redeeming characteristics he used to display
