I had to check the stats. The Mourinho meltdown season they finished 10th, barely avoiding the bottom half of the table. They bounced back with Conte and won the following season though. That kind of return to form seems pretty unlikely now, but who knows. They've certainly put money into that roster, so there's probably quite a bit of untapped potential somewhere in there.

Sheffield Wednesday managed to win a 2 leg playoff semi final and a playoff final while only having had the lead for a combined 5 seconds in all 3 games.

Gonna be interesting to see who Chelsea sell. They have the most bloated squad in the league (with the possible exception of Forest) and with no Europe next season many of them won't get a game. Surely time to have a fire sale

Its depressing in germany because every team sucks this season:
Bayern worst season with getting champs with the lowest points since years
BVB couldnt make it this season and they wont get it so easy in the following years too
RB has no depth and are far from being a title contender
Fucking Union Berlin .... that is enough evidence that this league is in shambles. Teams with much more money cant do shit and stagger in midfield of the table.
Freiburg ... same as Union kinda but they worked their way up hard for this. Still way to high up as 5. place.

Nah, Freiburg are exactly where they should be.
Hard work should be rewarded. Even if the other big teams wouldnt suck I am sure Freiburg would be near where they are at the moment.
Just like Luton FC in the Premlier League now and Heidenheim in the Bundesliga. Hardwork NEEDS to be rewarded. Otherwise there is no point in giving your best in life

Freiburg doing what they are doing is pretty much the only positive thing about this season. That and maybe Leverkusens Euro League run where they end up vs a Roma that refused to play football and was just going full Italy for 170mins

well not really a sale but Félix was already laid off by Chelsea so he is going back to Madrid.

Is he? He performed well for one season at Benfica and could never impress consistently at Atletico Madrid. He was not good at Chelsea either.
