No ticket sales, no player sales, no merch sale, plus of course no one to replace anyone they will lose from outside the club. They've always been losing money, 150m last year even with winning the CL, and it was just Romans cash injections keeping them afloat. They destroyed footy as we knew it and now in the end will get destroyed 20 years later. Happy birthday!

I think at least some of the limitations set to them had some leeway included in them because there really wasn't any way they could adjust in such a short notice. Not sure if that kind of leeway can cover losing your shirt sponsors and such though. It feels like PL is going to keep them from tipping over somehow, but I'm not sure at all on how that happens with all the expences that go into running a top level club. They really need a new owner quick, but I'm not sure even that is allowed to within the sanctions.

Chelsea still operates at a massive loss, even with winning the CL last year they lost 250m. Given that all their bids are either cheapskates or consortiums and not a single owner, there is no way they will get another owner that props them up like Roman did. So a firesale will have to happen anyway, not even to rake in cash on fees, no just to be able to keep paying wages.

They are allowed to pay the salaries with the cash at hand right? Question is if that is enough, without ticket sales, merch and sponsors injecting money. Due to the prevalence of the logo on the front of the shirt, i assume that was a gigantic part of their sponsorship money going away? the 24k max fee per travel will be hard to comply with for a CL game. 18 player's and let's say 6 staff members means they have 1k per person for travel and accomodations. yikes, specially considering the entourage that usually goes to the games is larger than 24 people.

As mentioned before they were never a profitable club and over its ownership by him Roman is owed 1.9 billion in loans to keep the club running. Its only a matter of time if Roman can get a sale agreed before the club collapses.

Nike and Trivago announce they are going no where because the club will be sold within weeks....too many high profile bidders and government wanting to make that happen asap as they don't want to deal with this either. Also Tuchel is going no where as well! Front runners are Nick Candy and his consortium or Dodgers owner and his Swiss Billionaire friend.
