This was the only way to approach it when you've got three games in five days. I was afraid Ole would try to squeeze in Rashford/Fernandes/Lindelof/Shaw/McTominay regardless of the scheduling and risk injuries and accumulate even more fatigue. Tbh I would've preferred if they weren't even in the matchday squad at all, but don't really know if that was ever a realistic wish.

I can't blame them. https://twitter.com/MattCiavaAFC/status/1392383097748922369 Would you honestly feel bad about a single one of these guys leaving though? That looks like a list of exactly the players I would WANT to leave if I was an Arsenal fan

Xhaka and David Luiz are respected by the team but their performances on the pitch leave so much to be desired. I say we should sell them and invest in young talent and be thankful that our true young talent like Tierney and Saka and ESR are hopefully going to stay

For all people forever bring up Alan Hansen’s ‘you’ll never win anything with kids’, quote as a stick to beat him with, he wasn’t really wrong. As good as the class of 92 were as a crop, it was Fergie blooding them at a suitable pace and blending them with established senior players, knowing who he could move on and have replaced etc. You only have to look at Dortmund to see the limitations of just grabbing tons of young talent and letting them loose, although when they fire it’s great to watch, they do lack a little in temperament and nous at times. I’d love to see Arsenal do well, I know the average fan isn’t hugely toxic but a disproportionately visible segment is. Xhaka’s not Xavi, that’s for sure but he’s always been an honest pro and some of the treatment he got when crowds were in was poor. Makes it hard to root for ye
