- Cheating is done through referees - It is more on the spread than on outcome of games - Usually done by affecting small segment of games which appear weird but not glaring enough, but will shift the game result - Mobs do every trick in the book, like ambush players during dinners to influence them, and they know EVERYTHING about them, what they ate, whether their in a good mode or bad, etc.
Decent game tonight, finally finished catchup on the DVR. One thing I wasn't happy with is how often guys like Giannis, AD, and Lebron are willing to settle for shots instead of smashing it in down low. I know its the regular season, but like, shouldn't we make the restricted area into a 3 point line already, or something? Its so much more fun than Giannis taking 3s over Kantavous Caldwell Pope.
The NBA has had 154 inter-conference games. Its all tied at 77 apiece.

if i'm a fan watching 1 single regular season game for maximum entertainment then i would agree with you on this point 100%.
but let me counter with a different perspective taken from a game that played just the night before. 3 Raptors went down against the Pistons.... The Raptors are really fun to watch. A team reflects the personality of its leader. In this case, everyone plays like Lowry. Its fun and its also not sustainable. Once again, several rotation players are injured. We have VanVleet, Siakam, Powell, and Gasol all injured while engaged in some very physical play.
Raptors shills are calling all these injuries 'bad luck'. Its not bad luck.... every player on the damn team is willing to run through a brick wall. Again, that's really fun to watch... but its also not sustainable.

i recommend "The Fix" by Declan Hill. He was mocked and maligned when it was published. He was labelled an idiot and a liar. History, however, has been very kind to Hill. He has gone from heretic to prophet in just a few years.

Doesn't seem to me like the injury rate has gone down in the 3 ball era, so I don't think this is a very valid idea.

Meh he is a clown. Most of what he wrote are bs straight from his anal sphincter. And those that he gets right are god damn obvious facts that anybody with even half an eye can see or predict. He is correctly labelled as a hack and history has not been kind to him wtf are you smoking lol
nah, Hill did some really good investigative work uncovering a lot of corruption.
nice full court press by the Raptors yesterday... small correction to the video narration: its the biggest regular season comeback in 10 years and 1 day.
Here is an interesting look at bad landing mechanics and how they can lead to injury.
If Zion has any kind of minor pain in his legs this year I think they'll keep him out of games. They don't want the slightest bit of over compensation due to pain messing up the reprogramming process Zion is going through.
As my personal trainer always tells me, "Form over function until the form is perfect!"
Former NBA Commissioner David Stern. Dead at 77. He was commissioner from 1984 to 2014. I didn't agree with everything he did. Overall though, he was a great visionary and overall... he was incredible..and i'd say a genius level in the execution of his job as NBA Commish.
Over Stern’s unprecedented 30-year run leading the NBA, he presided over an enterprise that expanded from 23 teams to 30; that went from having NBA Finals games broadcast on a tape-delayed basis to eventually becoming a broadcast property worth $24 billion. He saw the NBA go from being a league followed mainly in the United States and featuring almost exclusively American players to a global sport with 108 international players drawn from 38 countries to start the 2019–20 season.

The only thing I didn't agree with Stern on was canceling the Chris Paul Lakes trade and him insisting on the Kings staying in Sacramento when they wanted to move to Las Vegas. Other than that, he seemed like a decent dude. RIP

The threat of the Kings moving was a tough issue for Stern. The threat of Sacramento leaving began around 2006. Vancouver relocated to Memphis in the 2001-2002 season. He didn't want to allow two teams to relocate in such a short time period. Lots of teams moving makes it a lot tougher to get concessions from Municipal and State governments. These governments get more paranoid the more often teams move.
Man who was it that called James Harden out as an all-time great offensive player who's also ludicrously efficient, the whole shebang, even back in when they were all in OKC? :O
Actually, I'm pretty sure it was Ace, and I went back and searched to confirm. He's made other posts predicting Harden as a generational offensive talent, and IIRC he'd already called out the OKC trade as fucking dumb at the time, but as an example:

And yea, now I have stats to explain why I was always "irrationally" fearing the beard more than Durant and especially Westbrook ;;.
To tell you the truth...that isn't the scary stuff. James Harden could honestly end up being the greatest offensive player of all time. Seriously that's how scary this shit is.

of all time? he will have to reinvent himself when he loses his explosiveness due to fail knees in 5 years and still have this efficiency then maybe we can tag on the all time talk.
Leonard was one of the most efficient jump shooters in the playoffs and yet less than 30% of his made shots were assisted. All the players around him were Assisted on 58%, 95%, 72% , 57%, 75% of their made shots.
During the 2019 playoff run the Raptors #2 "make his own jump shot" guy was Kyle Lowry. He had an eFG% that was slightly worse than Leonard's and his shots were assisted 58% of the time. That is a big drop off. It should expel the myth that Lowry is a lousy playoff player though.
Harden committed 11 turnovers in the first half tonight. Normally, that's bad news for the Rockets. However, tonight they are playing against a team with Andrew Wiggins on it. So it really didn't matter much.
