But if people say he was/is good but just underperforming for one reason or another, was there a specific point in his early years in the NBA when Wiggins changed from a high potential player to a bad one? And iirc, he was playing exceptionally well early this season too, whats up with him?

I have always maintained that the Warriors championship team and Curry bamboozled the NBA and basketball community with fuck you 3s, 20 point blowouts, 1 cm shooting window for curry, motion offense shit, anuhlitics erneh, 50 point 3rd quarters, that people easily rate them higher than they objectively are. They are great, but only flimsily so. 2015 championship? Injured point guards in all rounds in the west which allowed curry to feast. And in the finals, Kyrie was eating Curry alive until the injury. Lucky win. Then of course KD came. Donkey is really stupid to think he is anywhere relevant other than a very good anchor who is a nobody without superstars around him.

I think the Rockets win and their over all success experimenting in new play styles is a win for the Rockets, the NBA and fans of the sport. If you think I'm exaggerating in my praise of the NBA try watching an MLB game with 2 pitchers throwing 100 MPH. The game has 30+ strikeouts, 10+ walks, no stolen bases, most base hits are home runs. Boring. IMO, when the NBA passes MLB in revenue they are full value for the success. NBA basketball has evolved into a more entertaining product than MLB baseball. And iirc, he was playing exceptionally well early this season too, whats up with him? Wiggins shrinks in high leverage moments a lot. Not always ... but a lot. He is a very poor defender. With a better center Wiggins has a chance to be a better defender. However, he has always been a very poor defender. When KAT is not on the floor Wiggins is still a below average to poor defender. KAT makes him look worse. If you have the time ...check out the video i posted about KAT's weak Defense. In it he explains why wing defenders are less effective when the Center is not very smart. TL;DR KAT makes wing defenders worse because his slow calls put wing defenders in very bad spots. Covington's worst stretch as a defender happened in Minnesota and a lot of it is on KAT's poor play calling. I say that with Covington out of Minnesota and no longer relying on KATs play calling he will once again be a very good defender. Wiggins is 24 and has become the league wide wiping boy for lazy, sloppy play. Its brutal.. but it is correct. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson at age 24 drastically altered his career prospects with an amazing level of effort and attention to detail on defense. No human being is a write off at age 24 and NBA players are capable of changing at age 24. If I had to bet though ...my bet is that Wiggins continues to struggle in close games and continues his lazy play. I don't foresee an RHJ type improvement in his effort level.

I dunno what kind of attitude he has ego-wise, but on a team where he's the 3rd option, I think he's in a much better place.

https://www.thestar.com/sports/raptors/2020/02/10/masai-ujiri-sued-by-oakland-officer-over-alleged-assault-after-raptors-nba-championship.html this line, which is behind a paywall, i find hard to believe " The suit claims Strickland suffered serious injuries to his body and nervous system that will result in a 'permanent disability.' " and this part is comical. The Raptors, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and the NBA were also named in the suit. They’re all accused of failing to warn the plaintiff of Ujiri’s “violent predisposition” and “propensity for physical violence prior to his assault on (Strickland).” Masai prolly shoved the guy. Both guys were probably a little bit in the wrong due to the heat of the moment. Its too bad these two guys couldn't come together and make a joint statement.

This is some major BS man. Minnesota versus Toronto tonight. No Gasol, No Powell. Lowry will play. Russell is still questionable for the Timberwolves.

TL;DR a 9 month recovery would not be a shock. To determine Durant's ability to return they will look at... amongst other things.. ankle range of motion. pain/swelling/symptoms. asymmetries in lower leg. kinetic chain dysfunction. Durant's right calf looks smaller than his left calf.

I'll preface by saying that, although I am from Texas, I don't give a shit about baseball and I think Houstonians are a pretty apathetic fanbase, but a) I really cannot muster enough give a shit that the Astros kinda sorta cheated by doing what everyone else was doing better. 2) There has been more bile and outrage about this than all the cheats and juicers combined. More outrage than the refs stealing the Kings-Lakers series. Really makes me suspect that this is a bunch of baseball a-holes mad that their NY/Chicago/LA team didn't win.
