Derrick Rose expressed unusual perspectives on sexual consent. When you have these kinds of unusual views other aspects of your person will be questioned when you're a public figure.
I don't think Derrick Rose is "faking it" either.
I do think he elected to undergo the type of meniscus surgery that requires a far longer recovery time though. When you ELECT to go the route of meniscus repair and end up taking a year to recover rather than a few weeks you will necessarily draw some blow back.
As I said, I don't think Rose is "faking it". However, I can see why some people would disagree due to his past bizarre comments about sexual consent, his extremely long recovery times and his SAT cheating.
Other posters can feel free to disagree with me about Rose. I won't get offended. I understand their perspective.
The definition of global superstar. Only Jordan is equally recognized and respected across all cultures and countries. I doubt any other athlete in the NBA or any other sport commands the same regard.
Wojnarowski and Bobby Marks have an in depth discussion about the state of the NBA with the trade deadline imminent.
Last year 50 players changed teams and 19 draft picks moved in the 48 hours before the trade deadline. This year the trade deadline is Thursday at 3 PM ET.

i thought Houston might be gearing up to spend big in the 2021 Free Agency bonanza. On the contrary, perhaps the theory in the link below is the explanation for why Clint Capela is on the trading block.
According to Woj, Dolan is going after Masai Ujiri. Let's see if Tim Leweike and his consulting firm end up getting involved in the Knicks hiring process. if Leweike gets involved there will be mass panic in Raptor-land. Supposedly Dolan is doing the interviewing. That is a good sign for Toronto.
I'm a big Leweike fan. The umbrella company that owns the Raptors owns 6 other Toronto pro sports teams. Every one of them has won a championship since Lewieke took over.... well except 1. The Toronto Maple Loafs.
At this point I'm more of a Ujiri fan than I am a Raptor fan. Similarly, I was always more of an Andrew Friedman fan than a fan of the Tampa Bay Rays or LA Dodgers.
Whether Masai Ujiri stays in Toronto or goes to New York one thing is for sure. The savvy negotiator and leverage master that Ujiri is... he will turn the competition for his services into a giant pile of cash for himself. good for him.
I say, a year from now Masai Ujiri will become the highest paid executive in the NBA. Now, that might never become official even if it is true. Ujiri will probably have his employer put a bunch of money into his "Giants of Africa" org.
Any how, Ujiri is going to get paid.... and big.

Not to mention the whole correlation does not equal causation thing you get wrong over and over. Probably just time to put you on the old ignore list again.
I should probably spell this out since, well you know. While it was intended to be offensive it was to utterly ridiculous of a claim to offend me. Especially being that is the goal of moronic hot takes. That you understand the "logic" behind it because of completely unrelated things is sadly not at surprising.
both of you guys are just guessing and there is nothing wrong with that. no need to throw shade at the other guy's guess.
4 team deal involving 7 players and 2 first round picks.
Capela makes ~ 8M more than Covington and Covington's deal ends 1 year earlier than Capela's.
So maybe the stuff I linked from CNBC about the new Houston owner Fertitta is true. Perhaps he has ordered some cost cutting. Maybe Houston ownership is trying to save money and fit under the luxury tax. Houston gave up 1 first round pick to make this deal happen.
EDIT : Woj keeps adding more players to this 4 team deal and he keeps updating his twitter. Last I checked he added 4 more players. So we're up to 11 players and 2 first rounders traded between 4 teams. https://twitter.com/wojespn
Now that this massive domino has fallen I suspect a whole bunch of smaller dominoes in the form of lesser deals will now be made.

That's why i think opinions differing from mine have merit. Trashing alternate opinions on a guy like Rose is a bit over the top. His PR team spent years trying to dodge and spin that SAT thing.
For a guy who talks about ignoring my posts you respond pretty quickly.
Any how, I'm on the fence on when it comes to Rose. He was prolly honest about his injury status.. but with all the BS he has been involved in over the years .... who knows for sure.
This is a great look at why Minnesota's defense is very bad.
It has no foundation in the middle. I've derided Towns as playing the "rover" position rather than the "center" position. The video below is a more serious and detailed analysis of Towns' poor defense.
