edit: and now Spurs haven't scored a second. accidental handball is enough for VAR
A corner and a free kick, two headers by Van Dijk.

edit: nothing hapended after that.

Let's take this moment to mention that West Ham are in fact 17th going into today, very very bad.

Liverpool vs Brighton became exciting towards the end now! First Allison got (entirely correctly) sent off for blocking a lob outside their 16 meter with a handball, then Brighton scored a clever goal on that same freekick. 15 minutes to go, Liverpool up one goal but down one player.

So RC for handball is 1 match ban right?
Also I cant believe I'm supporting Brendan Rodgers now to deny pool their EPL title

What's the protocol on that free kick Brighton scored?
Adrian was still setting up the wall on near post when Atkinson allowed the kick to be taken. I'm not sure if there's some unwritten rule that the ref needs to allow goalie to take their time setting up the wall, but then again I've never seen goalie getting caught off position like that either. It's such an oddball situation I'm not sure at all whether Atkinson or Adrian got it wrong.
Smart free kick by Dunk though, can't blame him one bit.

Smart free kick by Dunk though, can't blame him one bit. The offense is entitled to have minimum distance to the wall/defense, but can waive this. You can see Dunk talk to the referee and ask him to blow the whistle to restart play.

It's whether the goalie is entitled to have time to set up the wall. There's also a Brighton player too close to the wall as far as I can tell, which isn't something Dunk can waive away.
Reddit seems to think it's within Atkinson's consideration to allow the game on, but also considered totally against good refereeship or whatever you call that. I'm not sure how Liverpool biased reddit is, but they seem quite unanimous about this one.

I'm not sure how Liverpool biased reddit is, but they seem quite unanimous about this one. I meant to infer that, there is no rule that the goalie gets the right to set up a wall. Only that the taking team can demand the 10y distance. It's why in general you see only one player of the wall facing the goalie when setting up, so the other defenders can react to a quick kick.
The only thing that gets confusing with quick kicks is that depending on how exactly the stoppage of play happened (injury, card, etc.), the referee may have to release the ball, so people wrongly assume that the referee always has to blow the whisle to restart play. However in this case, Atkinson clearly blew the whistle and Liverpool was just napping.
e: reading the new rule on distance to the wall, that may have been an error by Atkinson, but I don't know if this applies to quick kicks with 10y distance waived.
Also Euro draw happening right now
e2: France v Germany to kick shit off, fun stuff Portugal still possible 3rd team for that
e3: HAHAHAH ITS HAPPENING

Whoever gets 4-th in group F is a lucky one :D
|
Group of death arent real group of deaths in euro as all 3 advance easily
|
So 2 best teams each group + 4 best 3rd places are avancing to play-off? ;/

Our coaches comment on the groups, saying everything is possible behind the netherlands ... kinda dishearthing to already aim for max. 2nd spot in a group. I know we might not be as good as the netherlands but it should still be the goal to win as much as possible?

I have to say the group looks good for us on paper, but this is a Euro, any team can win a single match, plenty of examples of this in the past. Since Ajax vs RB Salzburg in 2014 I'm not taking anything from Austria lightly.

I'm hoping that the players get motivated to perform to their best today
