He is incredibly exciting to watch play because at any moment something amazing might happen. Indeed. But like I said, it was hard to know whether it would translate to the NFL because he got shat on by some good teams in college. His O-Line is also pretty good right now, so its probable that if the Browns or Jets had taken him a lot of his advantages would have evaporated.

The glory days are for sure dead. But we'll be back and sooner than you think. This year is garbage but I think we return to conversation within the Big10 next year.

Reid's whole career has revolved around having a superstar QB (Vick, Mahomes) leading a stellar offense...and thats it. His teams are exciting and flashy but shallow and have no depth. idk between Philly and KC, he is one of the most well respected offensive minds in the NFL. His story would be much different had McNabb not choked in SB39 and had Dee Ford not been offsides in the AFCCG last year. I honestly love the guy, and he seems to be a great coach. He is a perennial playoff coach - he has missed the playoffs 5 times in almost 20 years. He made the NFCCG 5 years in a row from 2000-2004.

KC had two timeouts left and Reid should have seen Ford lining up offside and called a TO, but Reid doesn't pay attention to detail, especially concerning defense. Reids offense was mostly effective b/c has always had the luxury of having a capable QB. The "worst" qb Reid ever had was Nick Foles who still managed to put up 27-2.

How did Mcnabb do without reid? How about Foles? How about Kolb? Was Vick thought of as a good passer before Reid? Expecting Reid to notice a guy is offside compared to his D co or his staff in the booth, or the veteran player who should know better is one of the worst takes I've ever read. He is clearly a great coach, who if you want to pick at him has issues with clock management. There is no way he is not at worst a top 5 coach. The Chip Kelly comparison made me laugh out loud. Dude has a .452 win% in the NFL and has a .333 record at UCLA the past two years. And yes I agree, one of the worst takes ever. Laughable.

You'll have those fluke seasons with MSU, illinois, indiana, and so on having good years, but then it goes back to just 3 teams in the east and 1 in the west. Nebraska needs to get back to competing and soon. Frost will have 5 years to get things turned around. If he can't, then I don't know. I'm banking on next year he gets the players he needs. I agree, a stronger Big10 is good for all of its members, no doubt about that.

It’s hard for me to evaluate Jay as a coach because of the shitshow he has to work with. He will probably get another shot somewhere

The upperclassmen are the main reason we suck right now imo. But we'll see how the season ends. Hope we can beat either Wisconsin this weekend or Iowa at the end of the season to make it to a bowl. We need the extra practices.
