this bama team just hasnt looked as good as Bamas past all year
Granted. But is it that they wait until the end of the year to play the tough teams and they get exposed? Bama two years ago would own this team easily. I think LSU is for real, but if it's them vs OSU, I'm going with OSU.
Tua just hasn't been the same since he got injured last year, and the new injury has him looking even worse.
You can say the same for Martinez on the Huskers. At some point, a baller has to ball. Simple as that.
also problem with bama is that their defense has like 4 true freshman starters cause of injuries (dylan moses tearing his acl meant way more than people think), so they have to beat lsu in a shoot out.

late TD - Committee will say Alabama lost a coinflip game that could have gone either way to the #1 team in the country to justify putting them in the playoffs for 2 SEC teams if LSU wins out
couple of p5 coaches that i think will be gone by the end of the season:
chad morris - lost to wku today (by a huge margin too AT HOME) and hasn't had a single win against a sec opponent yet. was beaten by a qb who transferred to wku from arkansas while he can't even figure out his own qb situation. mark dantonio - loved by msu, but i think its time for them to move on. blew a 21 point lead at home against illinois today. mike tressel seems impressive enough to have succeed him.

The Ravens had been a 500 at worst team the last few years with the corpse of Joe Flacco because they run well and have had a top 10 D for a few years running. Lamar Jackson has been better than expected for sure, but I would easily take any of those 3 over him without a doubt. Not to mention that if you look at his game log he basically looked every bit the 2nd year player for the better part of the last month up until the game vs the Pats. He skullfucked a couple of bottom tier defenses to start the season and looked meh besides that.
years 2 and 3 for Jackson are going to be interesting because he still looks extremely raw in throwing. Greg Roman is really good at scheming offenses for dual threat guys the first year or two, so that's a great fit for the both of them. but those offenses are inherently gimmicky because they rely on guys who aren't good throwers but make up for it with athleticism. Teams have historically shut that down quickly. Look how quickly the wheels fell off the Niners when the league caught on to that offense and they tried to teach Kapernick how to do something more than check his primary read and go. He was shit at progressions and making intermediate throws. Jackson is not a whole lot different as far as his weaknesses.
You are probably not wrong on your assessment of Lamar but it really depends on how they rank his rushing. He is 11 in rush yards, (10th per game) #1 in yards per carry. His passing numbers are not super impressive but he is 5th in QBR and putting up wins. Wilson's sched is crazy tough the rest of the way so if they win their division it will be hard to deny.
I think the diff between Lamar and Kaep is he is improving more than Kaep did, and his running is at another level, it is at another level than any other QB ever, if he stays healthy he is going to destroy Vicks record. 1039 yards for vick and Lamar on pace for almost 1300.
Kap was pure straight line speed. Lamar is elite for any position at running. It's not as simple as throw a spy at him as it was with Kap.
But yeah, barring some kind of collapse, I don't see how anyone beats Wilson. He's playing elite, almost mistake-free football unlike any other qb. He's got 22 TDs (1st) and 1 INT (1st), while throwing at almost 70% (7th) and 8.5 Y/A (5th) and averaging 300 total yards a game. He's got 1 game under a 90QBR with a meh line and shit D with a ton of close victories earned on his back.
Jackson's been way too erratic to come close to him or even watson imo
the falcons win over the saints is now the biggest upset of the year (13.5 point spread). First time a team that was 1-7 or worse beat a team that was 7-1 or better on the road since 1986

I’d be very surprised if the NCAA vacated OSU’s season this year - but then again the full story and all the details haven’t come out yet.
Yesterday, folks were betting on a four game suspension for Young. Today, rumor has that it’ll only be two games and no vacation. Pretty ideal outcome for the Buckeyes, if it pans out.
