Reid's whole career has revolved around having a superstar QB (Vick, Mahomes) leading a stellar offense...and thats it. His teams are exciting and flashy but shallow and have no depth. idk between Philly and KC, he is one of the most well respected offensive minds in the NFL. His story would be much different had McNabb not choked in SB39 and had Dee Ford not been offsides in the AFCCG last year. I honestly love the guy, and he seems to be a great coach. He is a perennial playoff coach - he has missed the playoffs 5 times in almost 20 years. He made the NFCCG 5 years in a row from 2000-2004. mabye so, but in my eyes, he seems like the Chip Kelley of the NFL. I dont blame Reid for Mcnabb choking, but Dee Ford being offsides is on Reid. KC had two timeouts left and Reid should have seen Ford lining up offside and called a TO, but Reid doesn't pay attention to detail, especially concerning defense. Reids offense was mostly effective b/c has always had the luxury of having a capable QB. The "worst" qb Reid ever had was Nick Foles who still managed to put up 27-2. You have it so backwards it is amazing, I can't tell if you're are doing intentionally to try to be edgy or just believe things that are totally wrong. How did Mcnabb do without reid? How about Foles? How about Kolb? Was Vick thought of as a good passer before Reid? Expecting Reid to notice a guy is offside compared to his D co or his staff in the booth, or the veteran player who should know better is one of the worst takes I've ever read. He is clearly a great coach, who if you want to pick at him has issues with clock management. There is no way he is not at worst a top 5 coach. The Chip Kelly comparison made me laugh out loud. Dude has a .452 win% in the NFL and has a .333 record at UCLA the past two years. And yes I agree, one of the worst takes ever. Laughable. Reid has been to one SB as a head coach, and went to 4 consecutive Championship games. Kelly went to 1 BCS Championship as a head coach and went to to 4 consecutive BCS bowl games. Both are simpatico by achieving the exact same amount of accolades the only difference being one coaches college and one coaches Pro. I'm wasent saying one is better than the other, im staying their achievements are the same.

So Reid is the same as Kelly when he was at oregon and about to come to the NFL. That does sound about right, and if you remember, back then he was a rock star. The big difference is Kelly fell like a rock and Reid keeps winning.

Bleh. Need fantasy help from u gurus once again.
I dunno which 2 WR to start: Kenny Stills, N’Keal Harry or Randal Cobb.
I’m literally scrapping bottom of the barrel for WRs here. I traded Keenan Allen for Aaron Jones and M Thomas for Kamara.
Also Amendola in FA and M Williams.
|
Amendola isnt a good pick due to the other options on the team (Golliday, Jones Jr, Hockenson) so i'd avoid him. Plus Stafford is likely out for the year, if not most of it.
Stills/Cobb is a great combo. It'll likely be Harry's first game, and there is no guarantee he gets much volume. Rookies rarely get targeted more than a few times early on with the Pats.
A few sleeper picks to consider that might be on FA are Andy Isabella (ARI), Deebo Samuel (SF) or Laquon Treadwell (MIN).
|
Thx. I was considering N’Keal Harry because PHI has a crap secondary and Brady would spread the ball generously.
Cobb and Stills are on lock I suppose.
I didn’t know that about Stafford so that’s good to know.
I’m a Vikings fan and I still wouldn’t start Treadwell. I’ve seen him drop the ball on third and short one too many times.
That Isabella guy looks interesting though? Last two games he’s had 1 and 3 targets. Is he like a Mecole Hardman or something. I’ll keep an eye on him.
My usual WRs would be Cooks and Metcalf but both are on bye or Out. This week is a rough one for me.
|
cooks might be out long term this seemed like a bad one and his second this year

Can someone sell me on the game tonight. I feel like I should be more excited because it is sort of like a playoff eliminator. But I think Pitt's been kinda lucky to have the record they do have and Cle has been a disaster. I get it is a div match with playoff implications but for some reason it just makes me think blah.
|
I would maybe watch the second half. I think Pitt is pretender and Cle could at best just keep playing spoiler for a few teams. I'd go with the upset and give them a second half viewing.

Lol the end of this fucking game dude Myles Garrett about to get fucked by the league. Hitting Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. Absolutely the surge this game needed since it was such a bore.

imagine if rudolph did a soccer style flop after getting hit in the head with the helmet instead of just staying up and pointing out what happened to the refs

One of the most egregious acts in the NFL ever, it’s similar in severity to Suh’s stomp.
|
I am actually surprised that we aren't talking about an arrest taking place, that was INSANITY.
Also did I just read a comparison between Andy Reid and Chip Kelly? Vomit.
|
I think if he was hurt there would legal issues, much like there was with Bertuzzi and Mcsorely in hockey.
What is everyones guess, just this year or will his suspension go into next year?
|
If they look at all the evidence, a fine and rest of this year, as well as a fine for Rudolph.
|
Yeah I can't see him playing again this year
By all accounts he's a nice guy who hasn't ever blown up like that before so maybe that saves him from having it carry over into next year, but with this commissioner it's anybodys guess
|
I think he will be suspended "indefinitely" seems like the league likes to kick the can down the road on things like this. Then they can claim he did a bunch of anger management or something and reinstate him for next year. I could also see them waiting until this time next year to reinstate him. I mean they have a ton of lawsuits pending involving concussions, they may want to make a statement on how much they "care" by giving a massive suspension.
Garrett is lucky he is a star I bet if this was someone we barely had heard of he would be out of the league.

Certainly adds to the argument that Kitchens is out of control of his team.
