Pederson has shown himself a more akeen to coaching a system QB who buys into the playbook like Foles. Wentz can play outlines the lines and Penderson underlizes Wentz's ability. Do you think Penderson could get the same amount of production out of Mahomes as Reid Does? I dont think so but a coach like McCarthy could.

Yes Pederson is a good coach, but he would be better off coaching a more limited QB that will buy into his system like Baker Mayfield or Daniel Jones.

This is so wrong, its unbelievable. Wentz has proven that he is a dynamic QB who is able to thrive in Pederson's system. What basis do you have to say that it would be better for Pederson to coach a more limited QB? That is just utter nonsense.

I'm certain that your rebuttal is going to mention Nick Foles. The fact that Pederson was able to redesign his offense on the fly in 2017 to tailor it to Foles skills is NOT a reason to think that you should downgrade from Wentz just so that you can play a different system. Wentz offers a lot more than Foles does and you would be crazy not to move forward with him.

I'm not saying Pilly should downgrade from Wentz, im saying Philly should upgrade from Penderson. Since their SB run, they barely beat Mitchell Trubisky in the playoffs, and narrowly squeaked into the playoffs this year just to get annihilated by Carrol's Seahawks. When you have Wentz as a QB in his prime, sneaking into the playoffs inst good enough. Old man Brady got into the playoffs with less weapons than Wentz and no ability to scramble. Wentz has the arm and the ability to scramble that a Coach like Arians, McCarthy, etc could better utilize to its full potential than Penderson can. Yes, Penderson could win more games overall with a QB who knows his limitations and will follow his system. Thats not a knock against Penderson, its his niche.

You're kidding right? You really think Rivera is the best coach in the division? Doug Peterson has a ring, and dragged the lifeless corpse of the Eagles to the playoffs for the third straight year.

Rivera has been to a SB, coached a average QB to preform at an MVP level, and Won his division several times against Sean Payton and Drew Brees. Penderson has had and less difficult strenghth of schedule, and a better QB than Rivera ever had. In spite of that, Penderson has done less with Wentz than Rivera did with Newton and Rivera has more divisional wins in a more challenging division.

Wentz has had a very good year. Where do you have any support for the idea that he would be better off with a guy like Arians or McCarthy? Under Arians coaching, Jameis Winston threw for what, 30 interceptions this year? And don't we know Mike McCarthy as the guy who led his team to a generation of underachievement despite having a hall of fame quarterback at his disposal? Where is your evidence to support any of this?

And where in the world are you getting the idea that the Eagles should be looking to upgrade from Pederson? He's been the playoffs 3 out of his first 4 years, including a Super bowl win.

Yes, Winston threw 30 ints, but also had 5109 passing yards, which is an amazing accomplishment considering Jamis's limitations. Wentz is an elite QB who is in his prime. Winton has already Plateaued as a borderline average OB, Arians cant do anything to anything to make Winston play better the same way Matt Nagy cant make Trubiscuit a better player, despite them being top tier coaches. If Arians, Nagy, or McCarthy had had a Wentz to draw up plays for, they could make d-lines head explode. There is nothing inherently wrong with Penderson's coaching ability, but his results having been underwhelming and cant (at least from what I can see) elevate a elite QB to the next level where they can fully harness their superior talent. Wentz has Russel Wilson talent, a 30 mil/year contract like Wilson, but Wentz is being outperformed by Wilson in every category despite them having similar offensive deficiencies, and Wentz being in an easier division. That's unacceptable.

Garrett got the Cowboys to the Playoffs 2 out of the last 3 years and still got fired when there team didn't have a losing season. That would give the Eagles precedent to fire Penderson if the Eagles get blown out by the Seahawks and a Coach like McCarthy or Mcdaniels showed interest in coaching Wentz. McCarthy got Rodgers to his only SB title, the Packers have a bye this week, but they don't look all that great in the 1st year of Mike leaving aside from the D-line and Adams.

I actually disagree on Jameis. If we postulate he was extremely immature out of college (true to the max) and used to have crap coaching (also true) its plausible this was his year before the breakout year. Its a better sign to be a 5000 yard pick machine than a 5ypa dink dunker.

We still have to see whether he will go down the Peyton path or continue to be a pick machine.

I mean I got to say that I'm happy with Zimmerman and Spielman as a Vikings fan. They are a lot of things but they don't suck. They're not great but I'd rather go to the playoffs then not and have a winning record. The worst he's done was 7-9 in his first year.

I acept that I'm a battered fan that has lost his objectionability to what team I cheer for. As a fan of a Minnesota sports team I have to be happy with an above 0.500 team. I need to acept that this is a terrible sports state and must be happy with what little success we get.
