There are rules. They had 1.45 to do a lap according to sky dudes (not sure which one said it).

Sainz and Hulk will be investigated for that surely. You can clearly see the Ferraris trying to pass, even one of them waiving his hands and after that it went bonkers because they were already late regardless. Lewis tried to blame it on Ferrari but it wasnt clearly their fault.

Vettel cleared on track limits and reprimands for Stroll, Sainz and Hulkenberg.
That took a lot of time for nothing to really happen

Yeah no way was FIA ever going to do anything about that without him blatantly breaking every rule possible. Not today, not in Monza, not if the Race is this hype

phenomenal drive from Lecrerc. 53 laps under attack from 2 mercs, the guy is made from iron. Wow.

Grats to Leclrelc i guess, made a lot of mistakes and if it wasn't his car being stupidly good in a straight line he might have found himself before a mercedes or two. Still, good for Ferrari to win on home turf!

On a random note the Ford vs Ferrari film this year is going to be so great suggest you all check it out :D

Surprisingly Ferrari actually won the races they were supposed to win. Maybe they finally found a driver who doesn't choke with the slightest amount pressure. Still, their car is terrible and this is probably their last win for the season.

Hamilton didn't like someone fighting back and the fastest warning in the history of F1 followed... LOL.

Production editor shows his skills (or rather lack of) again by switching to audience in the middle of an incident, and failed completely to show what actually happened with Verstappen in the beginning. Did he get hit? Did he just misjudge the distance? Give us a 3rd person camera ffs.

Renaults near the top? What is this? Opposite day?

Vettel showing everyone, yet again, that he needs to retire

Bottas showing everyone, yet again, that he needs to retire.

Gz to Leclerc! Some knife edge defending there, but it worked out.

GJ Leclerc once more.

Sad about McLaren today but a point is a point. They deserve the 4th place on the WCC.

That was an awesome race. Even as a hamiliton fan I found myself cheering on Leclerc to hold on to that win. Tense stuff.

wy should bottas retire? He was never going to be a championship driver. Kinda rude tbh. Vettel on the other hand is in a downward spiral.

Why is it rude to Bottas but not Vettel? Vettel is better than Bottas is right now. He was supposed to show up this season, did so for 3 races, and then haven't been anywhere. His massive mistakes behind Leclerc when he was in a prime position to overtake with much much better tires is a clear sign of where he's at. It's not that you aren't allowed to ever do a mistake, but he's just meh all around atm.

23 lap old medium tires are not much better than 30 lap old hard tires.

The fact that he was a second a lap quicker disagrees with you there. Leclerc and Hamilton had been battling for a long time, and Leclerc's tires (and Hamilton's) were toast. Bottas had been cruising behind for the entire time, putting him in a prime position to overtake at the end.

He was nowhere near a second a lap quicker at that point of the race. There were only 4 laps in the whole race in which he was 0.9 seconds or more quicker than Leclerc. Starting at about lap 40 it was around 3 tenths a lap.

That's because he reached the distance where your lose enough drag through the corners, but don't gain enough to get it back through the straights. The 1-1.3 second behind is an absolute death zone in the current iteration of F1 cars. He got through it, and were twice down to 0.5s, well within overtaking distance. Then he made mistakes and was left behind. Most other drivers in his situation would have made the overtake.

Happy for Leclerc of course, he drove well, but Bottas had a huge opportunity, and just pissed it away. That had been his story for most of this season, and the entierty of the last one. He's shown he's not improving, and he's not doing his job. With the current amazing talent pool we have in F1 and F2, he should just let someone else take over the reins
