Mercs look like they have the old porpoising issue again... so many sparks flying out the back and the ride looks bumpy.

So far it does look like the gap to Red Bull has closed a bit though; Max's long run in FP3 was still best but the others put in decent laps as well. Maybe, hopefully, one of the challengers can out develop Red Bull just a bit this year? McLaren doesn't start from a huge deficit this year at least.

Nothing has changed ![]() Well Alonso seemed to have given up racing for higher positions was interesting. He normally fights a little harder. And wtf has so many people issues with their steering wheels...

Bahrain is pretty much always the most boring race of the season. Not only does the track lend itself to bad racing with short straights and medium speed corners you can't easily follow through, but they've also literally just spent weeks testing there. Every team knows exactly how the car will behave at every mm of the track. There will be no surprises, no driver will make any real mistake because they have literal days worth of testing time, everyone knows exactly what pace they're at, and what strategy is going to work out the best. Watching F2, Hauger is well and truly done for. He showed great pace in testing, and then just middle of the road in the race. That simply isn't good enough in your third year. Let's hope Martinius Stenshorne can bring Norway to F1. Not exactly a great first race for him either, but at least he has the excuse of being a rookie

High tire deg, only one representative session (FP2) often leaves teams out of order. But on the flip side, with testing the drivers all have optimal tire strategies and setups, so they just finish in order. The bottom 5 teams are going to scrap for points this year though, because Stroll got punted to the back and still managed to finish where the car should've on pace.
