Bearman did amazing, all things considered Decent race altogether. Lots of fighting, especially from P12 and down. Further proving that F1 needs to give out points to the backmarkers as well. I'm also happily eating my words on Hauger from last week. His best weekend in F2 ever I think. But I still think it's ridiculous how the guy with by far the best pace on the entire grid is so bad at qualifying | ||

This does not bode well for Sargeant F1 career. I do believe this is the right call for Williams as much as it sucks for Sargeant. | ||

It would be understandable if Albon was fighting for the WDC, but they're not. Albon binned it, there's no reason their other driver shouldn't be the one fighting on their behalf | ||

Sargeant may be a (substantially) worse driver, but he didn't bin the car. It's a bad look, and it'll look extra bad if Albon doesn't get points (which he very likely won't). It's also very early in the season to create such bad blood within the team. | ||

I think if Logan was closer to Albon in performance, he would've kept the ride, but the fact that he's so far behind Albon as a teammate makes this decision easy for Williams imo. Thus, every single point is extremely valuable and could mean the difference between 6th and 10th. Going off 2023 numbers, that's a 35 million jump from 10th to 6th. | ||
