They tested the podium cars and the pole car (VER/NOR/HAM/LEC), seems sensible to me. I'm 99% certain Sainz also ran the wrong spec, and he got away with it and earned himself a podium. Leclerc truly is unlucky at Ferrari lmao. Less certain about Russell, he had significantly slower pace than HAM so maybe his height was fine.
6 teams not tested at all, definitely sucks and raises some questions.

Would be interesting to see this picture of all cars that finished.

That was some great qualifying action, forza Ferrari! Also Ricciardo doing verry well (and better than Perez, spicy).
And we still could get some penalties still as well.
|
What an absolute clustertruck that Q1 was
Riccy did ridiculously well through all that. Well done him
|
Oof Perez, same mistake Hamilton made 2 races ago
|
Lol. What a way to end your formula1 career, out at turn 1.
Baffled by why Aston Martin are at the end of the grid

Man, desperation really makes you do dumb shit, huh? He knew they'd be going 3 wide into that corner, and still didn't give more room than he thought he absolutely needed to, despite an absolute mountain of historical evidence to show how that never works out. The only way to go 3 wide is to huge the white line on your side, not turn in early to "squeeze" your opponent.
I just don't see how he keeps his seat. The poor man needs a break from the front, he's not handling the pressure whatsoever.
Digression, but am I the only one who keeps mistaking the ATs for Haas? With that white and red livery...
edit: Nvm, it's a lot easier now. AT are the white and red cars, while Haas are the ones in bits and pieces strewn about the track..
|
A good chance to spend more time with his kids; think of it this way, he never needs to work for money again, and he was complaining there where too many races (24)
|
God Sainz needs to start getting punished for his constant weaving whilst defending. He's done it in numerous races, and stewards somehow never seems to care. I don't get it
edit: Again...
|
Tsunoda somehow managed to make the exact same mistake twice in a row..
That was a deeeeep dive too. He was never making that corner
|
I am adult, I am..I promise, I am.. But Mike Krack...
Anyways, put Lando in that Red Bull Already. That's going to be another, well deserved, driver of the day
My god. Riccy and Russel, side by side, on the last lap. He's going for it, he's..! And the camera cuts to Max, who is 40 minutes ahead of everyone else, passing the finish line alone. Thanks for that
|
Imagine if Lando didn't screw up his qualifying.
Hamilton scoring big points while Perez is doing his utter best to not get 2nd in the championship. Meanwhile Ricciardo's day couldn't be better.
|
Huh, the crowd seems to be behaving well to Max. Nice to see/ hear.
Oh nevermind, Charles gets boood now..
E: God I love the cool down room
|
ok men, Ricci is online!; he's going places, no doubt about it. it only needed a close call and a broken finger

Why don’ t they raise the ability to use DRS to 2 seconds instead of 1? And give 50% more points for the sprint race, and give higher places a higher payout. Only way I see the sprint working the next year, it’s been pretty lame all year

This Alonso guy knows how to drive a car, great stuff

DRS is meant to imitate the natural drag reduction you get while following another car, just to a stronger degree due to F1 car's inability to follow through corners. This effect tapers off at around the 1 second mark.
Not sure what the complaints are about, this sprint race was absolutely amazing. Close fighting from start to end. That said, they are looking at changing the sprint format for next year. It's still in the trial phase, so expect things to keep changing
|
I like the sprint format, its fast paced and has a lot of action from the get go. And it ends right around the time, when traditional grand prix format starts to drag.
My only gripe is with the international broadcast directing. There are way to many times they show ads on track, or some closeup leading car. When at the same time theres fighting and overtaking happening in the midfield. This has nothing to do with the sprint race, but its distracting from the racing nonethless.

you got to be kidding
E: Poor Charles..
