Really unimpressed with City for now. They can't pass the midfield and they're receiving counters very easily. I don't get why Silva doesn't get back to help, there's a big distance between him and the 2 others.

It's always really debatable with these sliding tackle/falling down/whatever type of situations where you can't really have your arms sticking to your body completely. To me it looked like Rose didn't make himself that much bigger considering the circumstances, but it really depends on the camera angle and all that. Arm is over his head and blocking a shot on goal, I hate calls like this because it seems incidental/reasonable arm poistion, but you just can't have people getting away with blocking shots on goal away from their body. It really becomes a debate what arm position is far enough and how much of it is intent. We apparently really need that black and white rule where any handball is a foul, regardless of intent or exact position, so the discussion goes away/calls finally are consistent.

Klopp has learned so much Well they are no where near as attacking as they were and defend way deeper and better now. If that is balanced for you then yes that is true, but they are very much a more defensive side than offensive now. The last 2 games are literally the only time Scouse have played a more offensive midfield having Keita in it, normally they play 3 holding midfielders xd

Really dumb from Delph. Raising his hand for the offside, losing focus, while with VAR they should know referees can't raise their flag until the offense has concluded anyway...

I agree, but until then. I think var intervening on a 50/50 subjective type call is also not right. On April 10 2019 05:39 WillyWanker wrote: Really dumb from Delph. And dude talks the most shit apparantly in team meetings and stuff about being switched on and not doing the basics..

https://streamable.com/l1cv4 Salah does this, VAR does not look at it, referee does not even give a foul nor yellow card. For me and my anti Liverpool agenda its a clear red, but ofc thats me :D

Edit: Wouldnt give him a red though. Yellow would be fine because I sense minor petulance there but no intent to really hurt the guy. Its from the Gilberto Silva school of just foul enough to not get seriously censured.

As it stands with foul called against Salah, but no card and no review just feels weird Yeah my Liverpool fan friend said the same. And there is a pretty good case for the tug being a foul, but I dont buy the rest of it. He has enough balance to not do that. I think he got a frustrated and got a lick in, he just didnt mean to hurt the guy so its one of those where you just dont try to avoid the contact rather than try to actually stamp.

Edit: Speaking of Delph, who are the left back options for City right now? Mendy had that late nightclubbing thingy Guardiola probably doesn't appreciate at all. After that there's Zinchenko (sidelined with small injury) or Delph I guess. That doesn't sound ideal at all for Guardiola football.

At least that's what they told us in Germany.
