Its true but its not as bewildering as it sounds in terms of volume. Argentina scored a 5th (I think) of their entire qualifier goal count with Messis hat trick. Some games were unlucky where chances fell to players not called Messi and they were pissed away. Or toothless games where Messi was off or got man marked out of the game. Fortunately despite not scoring they didn't let many in either.

Geoff Cameron was healthy enough to start for Stoke in their last game but not healthy enough to start over a mid tier MLS defender for the US?
I was pissed when they hired Arena again. We got exactly what we should have expected by putting him in charge.

Hopefully there is pressure from NBC, and Fox Networks as well.
The USA coach, Bruce Arena, has hinted he may soon leave his post with the national team in an interview with the Washington Post.
The US missed out on qualification for the World Cup for the first time since 1986 when they lost to Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday night, and Arena said he is unlikely to lead the team in their attempt to reach the 2022 tournament.

Kaka plays his last game this sunday. From that day, all ballon d'or winner are retired except Messi and CR7.

End of an era for sure! I will never forget his display for AC Milan when they beat Yanited at old trafford, he was madness in that game a true genius.
On lighter news, football is back <3 England kicking off on Saturday with a small game of Liverpool vs Man Utd!!!! Going to be awesome, will Mourinho bring out the big red bus? Or will he look to take the game to Scouse! How will Liverpool do without Mane (again) and a manager coming under a bit of fire recently, 2 defeats to top 6 sides will put them in a bit of danger!

wouldnt be surprised if mou plays a bit defensive but id be pretty disappointed tbh. liverpools defense is probably worse than some of the other teams weve scored 4 against

Yeah. I think solid defending is the way to play against Liverpool. Goalscoring will sort itself out anyway against that defence right now.

I starting to feel the hype and hoping for a good game. I agree that Mourinho will want to close up shop and try to get the Anfield noise to die down for the first 20 mins or so. I'd love to see something go wrong for United early on forcing them to come out a little bit and not sit back. Or alternatively them just go for it (but that's a bit tactically naive and unlikely from Mourinho) We could end up with a pretty open game in that scenario. At the moment it looks like it’s going to be a little dull, tight and cagey with United just waiting to see if that defensive mistake is going to let them in.
I don’t see a thrashing been handed out by either team.
Exeter City are still top of the league, traveling to Wycombe today. I’m probably going back to England in January so I might actually get to see them play this year. I might try and get a Premier League game in there too.

Was hyped at first, but with Mourinho I know I'm going to be massively disappointed haha. We'll see, I'm hoping something goes wrong with United too.

Yeah basically 4-4-2 from Yanited and 4-3-3 from Scouse, not bad

It's going largely as predicted so far.
