this is hardly an exhausted team, its a team thats not trying because they dont have to. They havent got out of first gear since they scored the second goal. They've just sat back and even that has been at a lazy pace.

They had terrible luck in brackets, amazing luck in matches so it evened out. Honestly with how Pool & Real play the finals might just end 5:4 or something. In 90 minutes.

pretty sure the only way Liverpool wins is if they blitz real out of the game like they did against City and Roma. If they cant outgun them I see a less then zero chance of them letting in less than 2 goals with the way the matchups work out. And Real plays heavily of the space they create from bad matchups where one of their guys creates space by just outright shitting on his man.

I can already see Marcelo creaming at the thought of matching up against Alexander Arnold. Imagine what will happen when he forces overloads and then feeds Ronaldo et al on the weak side.

I can also see Marcelo getting 200% destroyed by Salah haha. The 'problem' for Madrid is that they will be the ones with possession (until they're ahead at least), Liverpool doesn't care about having the ball that much. Madrid struggles against this type of team in Liga, and I can see it happening in the final.

Then the problem for Liverpool will be to be able to maintain the pace for at least 60 minutes, enough to score 2+ goals. They haven't shown that against City nor Roma, so I'm not sure they'll be able to do it vs Real, especially since they still have to make sure they're top 4 in PL.

I still see Madrid winning it, it's maybe a 75/25. Even at 3-0 Liverpool with 10mn remaining I'll be stressed.

Salah is the interesting one as if Real take all the ball like they probably will do, there will be space on the counters for him, just whether or not he arrives in peak conditioning. For some daft reason they have played him in every game and not rested him yet. They play us the weekend so they might not rest him then either. Then it is one more game and season is over then a week break for the champs league final.

I have no idea how the final will go, this season is stupid, if Liverpool win i will be in sevre pain from seeing the Scouse thinking they are a big amazing team again even though they have failed in the league 28 years now yet somehow can do these random runs in Europe! Nothing worst than scouse fans chirping away about success and beign righteous and whatever!

Anyway, can Klopp fix his cup final jynx!? That another side story, he has an awful record in cup finals. For Liverpool alone this will be his 3rd final and he is 0/2
