Also VAR, it's premise, will never make correct calls no matter what. Also what about time wasting and so on by the players, and the refs feeling pressured.

The problem isn't the hammer, the problem is its incorrect use by foul people.

If they hadn't decided to use it there would have been a controversy because of something VAR could have prevented, see Sane offside goal yesterday. Pretty much damned if you do, damned if you don't. Additionally VAR has been working/a net positive in Bundesliga.

by the way Zidane... bring on Benzema, they need someone that can hold the ball upfront and distribute it to the sides

Even if its half chances etc. But at the end of the day If Real doesnt play well Ronaldo doesnt play well. Reals struggles this year wasnt because they werent playing well offensively+ Show Spoiler + (aside from the odd game here and there where they were just genuinely bad, as a consequence of a series of games of whiffing and I suspect losing confidence and faith in each other) Thats why I personally was comfortable that when they got clinical they would be best team again. Today is a prime example of that. I wouldnt be worried about Real this game, they have a buffer and they look good for a goal, unlike Barca who didnt even look like they could string passes yesterday. You know, a game where 2 teams are playing football.
