Chelsea looked like that hadn't trained all week and been out partying in clubs and what not. No energy, horrible performance. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Zagreb winning the League 10 times in a row sounds either impressive or oppressive. I'm guessing Croatians are pretty glad it's someone else. Guangzhou Evergrande are going for their seventh straight Chinese League tittle so you are banned from supporting them unless you were born in or live in Guangzhou. Edit: Some of Costa's quotes make it sound like he wants to to go to Athelitco others make it sound like he wants to stay at Chelsea and they want him out. Either way he's not coming to China. link

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said: "Valverde has the ability, the judgement, the knowledge and the experience. "He promotes the youth players and he has a Barca way." Valverde's official introduction to fans and the media will be held on Thursday.

To make it more fitting, they of course had to do this by winning a penalty shootout with a German being the final penalty taker :D Stereotypes are fun ^.^ Btw, personally happy for Hefele. Everyone was like "wtf, why would you leave Dresden after getting promoted here for WHAT IS THEIR NAME?" But he said he always wanted to play in England once in his career. Well... looks like this worked out great.

Anyway back to Huddersfield I don't know too much about their sponsorship and finances because unfortunately you need that now to get into the Premier League. But the club seems relatively well run and they recently built an appropriately sized stadium 24,000. That will be full in the Premier League and they have got most of the way there this season in The Championship averaging 20,000. Apparently Patrick Stewart is a big Huddersfield fan which confused me because I thought he was French. Then I remembered Jean-Luc Picard is French and Patrick Stewart is just a dam good actor and was born in a little village just outside Huddersfield. I quite like Reading too, but mostly just because their money comes from the guy that created Auto Trader and that’s a fine publication. Many hours of my Uni years wasted on slow days working at Exeter Domino’s flicking through Auto trader. I bought at least 5 cars from there. This post may have meandered away from been interesting.

I'm so ashamed. ![]() Be assured, Dresden and frankfurt are still way worse We had all the fans of Germany behind us. The atmosphere was pretty electrifying in the stadion. And those morons fucked everything up. I was actually really positive before the game... We were the clear underdogs (nothing to lose for us), the weather was good and I expected (correctly) that the atmosphere would be great. I thought "as long as we don't lose 0-4 or higher there is no way that I could get disappointed today" But those fucktards managed it. Injuring a steward AND hitting our inofficial mascott (a 70yo woman named Christel who is collecting the cups in front of the stands). Instantly killed all support in the stadium and the support of other people for us. Idiots. And then the fucking moronic Platzsturm. We couldn't even celebrate with our team for the great season they played (66 points is a new record high for the 3rd of the 2nd League). Well we won't see the Ultras for some time now even at the beginning of the new season. I'm not the biggest fan of Pyro in general but meh. But doing Pyro while under probation? DUMB. Actually injuring someone with Pyro while under probation? self-sabotage. This will probably result in our biggest fine ever and a Teilausschluss for a few games. Maybe even a Geisterspiel. The only hope I have is that they get the fucking moron who injured the security. Because that guy was apparently not even masked. If he was... well we know how it goes. The Ultras will cover for each other and nothing will be done. We tried so hard to combat the image of Eintrach Braunschweig as a team of hooligans and Nazis over the last 10-15 years. Even tho it is pretty peaceful usually in the Eintracht-Stadion nowadays now everyones image of us is once again destroyed. This is setting all our achievements of cleaning the reputation of Eintracht Braunschweig back by years. To say it in German: Ich bin grade einfach nur richtig bedient.

But they have won the English Top League 3 times in a row (1923-24, 1924-25, 1925-26) only Liverpool and United have managed that. I have really been hoping for a big Yorkshire club to make it back to the Premier League but I was thinking more Leeds or Sheffield rather than Hull or Huddersfield. The Wikiepedia page is interesting. They had a very troubled start go bankrupt twice in about ten years the directors trying to move them to Eland Road to become a Leeds club after Leeds City (who the fuck are Leeds City) vacated the premises. It's actually quite interesting hearing about small clubs like Leeds City and Bradford Park Avenue that still exist in obscurity today but back then were big rivals of Bradford City and Leeds United. If I could be bothered it would be interesting to look into why one club became big and the other all but disappeared. I suspect the answer is just straight glory hunting. People go watch the more successful team. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, you pay your money why not go watch the better football. It's just interesting that some cities one club became dominant and the others all but died (Newcastle, Leeds, Bradford) other cities 2 survived to form a huge rivalry (Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham). Anyway back to Huddersfield I don't know too much about their sponsorship and finances because unfortunately you need that now to get into the Premier League. Haha ![]() Was an awful game that though a very dull 0-0, penalties were mildly entertaining but you always have a part of you thinking what a way to lose! Huddersfield manager aka Klopp 2.0 put 3 germans to take penaldos and that was the difference as only one of them missed and they went on to win. Shame for Reading who played well in large parts of the Season and well Huddersfield, they then had an awful run of form which blew them out of automatic promotion race. They then rested their whole team for about 3 matchday weeks and went into playoffs with a fully rested team which seemed to have worked out for them. That helps balance the north / south divide in the premier league next season as well!
