That's a nice gesture to a truely loveable man. I assume there isn't anything more to it than that.

Stuttgart got an injury time qualiser against the alternative Munchen. But my question is this annoys you because you support alt Munchen or are you a fan of one of the other clubs chasing Bundesliga promotion?

edit: More random stuff to talk about; It looks like Iran will be at the World Cup. Korea got a cruical win over Syria after putting themselves in a poor position losing to China right in the middle of all the bollocks when China was trying to whip up nationalism and racial hatred over Korea deploying defensive missiles. I didn't watch that game but I'm guessing that was a fairly hostile environment down in Changsha. It will take Chinese people almost a month to forget they hate Korea and remeber they love buying Korean products and listening to Korean pop music again. I feel sorry for the idiot tourists who had a cruise holiday booked to Jeju but showed their 'national pride' by refuesing to get of the ship and enjoy their holiday. Well done guys, money well spent.
If anyone wants a gauge for where Chinese football is right now that hugely impashioned win against Korea is their only win from 7 games so far.

The other group is 2 from Saudi Arabia, Japan and Australia.

Yeah Chelsea still like him for being a nice man, Roman wouldn't cared and it was probably a gesture from Antonio as he spoke to Claudio alot about the league and stuff during the season.

20 game unbeaten run. 10 draws. The Special One One.
LOL, I like it.

In terms of points from last 5 games, the two hottest teams in Premier League are Leicester and Chrystal Palace, I think. Relegation pressure seems to be working nicely.
Excatly relegation/promotion adds so much excitement to leagues that might otherwise get a bit stale at the end of the season. MLS needs relegation, it will bring life to a division below aswell.

Leicester City's form confuses me emotionally. I love that they are back and playing great football ('playing like champions again' the words of Lineker) but hate the conclusion they were right to sack Claudio Ranieri. That can't have been the right decision but results say otherwise ㅠㅠ.

Heard that ranieri changed the way they played this season. No more 4-4-2 counter that won them last season. Think he was stubborn and didn't revert back despite their shit form. So he deserved the sack although harsh. Shakespeare seemed to have made Leicester go back to their old style again, and the results have swung in.

You would have thought the other officals there would have been able to quickly remind the referee the rules. It seems pretty unlikely the referee, both linesman and the 4th offical (I assume there is one in the Championship) all forgot the rules. They are so lucky it didn't matter and Newcastle won the game anyway in the end. It would be a huge scandal otherwise.
edit: Imagine if a team got relegated by a mistake like that.

Dele Alli is the best English 20 year old like, ever. The assist was nice, goal was meh, but the chance he had after 15 minutes, that was pure class. Not able to link it directly, but this page has a summary video, chance happens after 40 seconds.

ye I'll definitely accept Owen, and Rooney is in the running too. Did not actually know that Owen won Ballon D'or. I thought about Rooney before making the post, but I'm not certain. :p

Rooney and Owen due to they have done it all levels of the game, from Champions league to World Cup and European championships. Alli has not yet, even at the age of 20 Owen had already scored several World Cup goals and Rooney played in Euros too i think around that age very successfully. Alli is a joke at International level at the moment! However doesn't change that fact he is very good in the premier league right now.

Rooney was indeed fantastic in 2004 until he broke the metatarsal. But I don't really agree that performing at all levels or in all competitions is all that essential. The 36 league games per season are way more important than the 8 international ones, and the 19 year old isn't at fault for England being terrible. Championships are also out of season.

Messi and Ronaldo are clearly the best two players in the world of the past decade, but I don't think that holds true at all if you strictly look at international performance, even with Portugal winning the EC, and even if I admittedly struggle with finding 'dominant international players' post-Zidane. Which kinda adds to my argument I think, that international performance just isn't all that important anymore.

Schweinsteiger's performances in all of his three world cups had been beastly.

ya I thought about some german players, maybe italians as well, I guess Iniesta has been pretty damn great for spain. Still, virtually nobody argues that schweini or Pirlo have been better players than Ronaldo or Messi over the past decade, even though the former have clearly been better in international matches.

It's hard to single-handedly carry a shit national team. The only guy I can think of who manages it is Gareth Bale. He ain't 19 anymore.

Yeah Ronaldo and Messi points are very valid, but they also have scored and played extremely well in multiple international games. Topping scoring charts in Qualifiers and scoring several goals at championship finals (and assists of course). Im just saying to be in the "world class" or a "great" category for me you need to show that ability at all levels of the game, now of course that doesn't mean carrying England to a World Cup or European final it just means attributing in a very big way like he does for Spurs, whether it be with a goal or an assist.
In the Champions League and Europa League, Alli also has yet to make a big mark. I am being very cynical here but that's only cuz the term best ever was used

Like i said after the last international phase to friends and people at work when we discussing England. If you removed Tottenham from the planet England would have been a better side because of it!

I can also agree that my initial remark of 'best ever' was misplaced. But he's seriously impressing me this season, and then when I watched the highlights from the swansea game, my jaw dropped, because his attempt after 15 minutes, that's some Ronaldinho magic right there.

Haha yeah, but i think for him to get more acclaim from non Spurs fans in England he needs produce more in the big games and in Europe and then subsequently internationally for him to be thrown in with Rooney, Owen, Fowler, Gerrard, Lampard etc. But hey lets hope he does!!!!! It then means England will win all the World Cups :d

I dislike the other München but I'm a Braunschweig fan so I had to root for them while we were slipping up against Fürth Could have been worse I guess. Looking at the table it's acceptable that only Westpeine got 3 points last gameday.

As the expected, the US will most likely host the 2026 world cup. The odd thing (looking at the gold cup) is that they really intend to share the hosting duties with mexico and canada: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/06/us-canada-mexico-joint-world-cup-bid-2026
