Tbh it might be better to finish second for these tier 2 teams. If Real doesn't top the group tomorrow, knowing that they can't face Barça or Atletico, and Bayern can't face Dortmund, the odds of getting either of them for other teams are going to be very high.

To imagine that pure greed of a few dollars cost the lives of so many people - disgusting.

A spanish judge has decided that nothing can be published in the media about this case, not only here but not even in the rest of Europe. This is hella fun if real, because it's obvious that a spanish judge has no say about what can be published in other countries lol. The law experts of the country all agree this is extremely weird. This kind of decision is only made when "the cons of publishing stuff about something far outweigh the pros". I mean there could be a way bigger investigation going on, since this country elite is extremely corrupt, that could be an explanation. Other groups (media? law?) are saying that this decision is outrageous, attacks the right of free speech and there are very few instances of such decisions in democracy. I hear all this stuff while working so please take with a grain of salt. If anyone can expand on this topic or correct me feel free please ![]()

I thought Gianni was gonna be a good FIFA President, but so far he has been caught in his own money issues already, claiming money when he shouldn't on expenses? Now he thinks its a great idea to have 16 groups of 3 teams in which 2 go out....i mean England's pretty boned ![]()

but then I realized that if top 1 advances it's gonna be the same amount of games total as 32 teams, just with more bad teams involved (so average game quality could be expected to drop a bit) and if top 2 advances then it's a pretty meaningless group stage for a lot of the teams involved.
