Nothing beats that much practice imho, TDD is not his best bet, I would work on my distance management or... something. No clue how you could stop someone like Maia if his plan is to take you down. Fair enough, but if you have TDD at 39%, you have a history of getting taken down. Even Stann said it, the game plan was to be strike off his back. How often does that work Rory defended 20/22 take downs against Maia. On August 28 2016 11:16 royalroadweed wrote: Its funny that Nate Marquardt has KO wins over 2 of the top 4 guys at welterweight. He brutally KO'd both Woodley and Mia. TRT Marquardt might have been better than TRT Vitor. Rory also has wins over Maia and Woodley. UFC smh

I still think Wonderboy deserves the next title shot a t the moment though instead of Maia. But both match ups interest me.

"He doesn't know anything about me," St-Pierre said. "I'm a smart guy. I'm not the kind of guy you're going to say that (about), and okay I'm going to sign right here, I'm going to fight for peanuts. No, I'm a smart person. It doesn't work, these things on me. But I'm going to tell him something, to Dana, let me fight once and you'll see in the first minute of the fight that what you just said is wrong. "Let me fight Tyrone Woodley, then we'll see if I want to be world champion again. I understand what he means, and I'm not angry at Dana. He does what he does for the best of his interests. I do what I do for the best of my interests. One day when all of that is going to be over, we'll probably be friends, like most of the guys who I've fought. But now, it's like a game. He's doing his game, I'm doing mine."

The UFC is going to hardball negotiate with GSP; if GSP does not sign up under the terms the UFC wants then they'll downgrade 206 into a "Fight Night" and blame St. Pierre for it. i can hear Dana now... "ya Toronto fans we wanted to bring you a Pay-Per-View card that we at the UFC know you deserve but GSP does not want to fight any more. The UFC loves Toronto and we're really sorry that GSP has let down Canada and his fans."

With Ronda and Jones no where in sight, they'll need GSP imo. UFC 186 in Montreal was pretty lackluster. Who knows what the new owners want though.

I do + Show Spoiler + $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ My guess would be GSP with a bunch of jobbers on the undercard to make up for whatever they have to give him. Probably be some good KO's/submissions though since the fights will probably be pretty one-sided.

i'll be mildly surprised if UFC/GSP sign a deal before October 4. GSP states that negotiations are currently "stalled". Talks will magically start moving forward after October 4.

Pretty hyped for that one. I think Chris can outlast him but should be a great fight.
