Sometimes I wonder who's running the replays, they kept going with the kick angle instead of the combo angle. If I was a trainer/ran a gym that combo would be on loop on the wall 24/7. It was basically everything a trainer tells you you're practicing for. | ||

I was surprised at how big Anthony Johnson is now. I hadn't seen him fight in a long time (I watched him live at UFC 104--god, I'm old--). Larkin looked really impressive. Those body and leg kicks looked devastating. He will be interesting to watch in the next few years. After so much hype, it's unexpected when that a fight can also be FOTY, but that is exactly what happened last night. It's a little surprising to me that some people think Diaz won round 2, but that's how you know it is a big fight that attracted a lot of casual viewers. Conor did look tired and in trouble at the end of the round, but he still did enough to win the round before that. EDIT: my post came out harsher than I wanted to (would fix but too lazy). But not trying to say that anyone who sees the fight different is a casual viewer or completely wrong.. | ||

Lesnar isn't going to be one of those guys because I don't think he is even going to mount a defense. He won tonight against Orton at SummerSlam. If Lesnar had any plans of leaving the WWE again for any kind of time at all Lesnar would've lost tonight. So I think we'll see Lesnar get an uncontested 2 year suspension due to the positive USADA test. This won't impact his "work" in the WWE because the WWE's wellness policy only applies to full time performers; Lesnar is considered part time. | ||

Nothing beats that much practice imho, TDD is not his best bet, I would work on my distance management or... something. No clue how you could stop someone like Maia if his plan is to take you down. | ||
