Yeah same! Cirkunov vs Walker second which isn't on the main card either, but still most of the fights on the main card are pretty good on paper nonetheless.

I'm pumped just to see Jones again. Even if I think he's going to roll his opponent. Still one of my favourite fighters to watch. Let's hope no BS happens to mess with the main card.

I think Jones and Woodley are going to destroy their opponents. I'm most looking forward to Ben Askren's debut.

I don't want to say anything about Woodley, I always expect him to get beat convincingly and he wins everytime, I give up on his case. Kind of interested in Askren's debut too but I don't think he has enough tools to do much to Lawler, rough matchup.

In my eyes Woodley is the 2nd best fighter in the UFC, behind Jon Jones. I think he's as complete of a fighter as you can get, really no weakness, and fights super smart. In his current shape, I think we would have beaten every WW in UFC history. Stylistically, I think rangy high volume strikers are the only ones who will give him issue (Diaz, Rory, Thompson, etc), or fighters who are bigger than him that he could outwrestle him (but that's more at MW, I think at MW he'd have a much tougher time).

Askren, I'll reserve my judgement on as I know little about him. I do think that Robbie looked really shaky against RDA, and with a performance like that, I think a good wrestlers would win.

Anthony Smith I'm pretty excited for. In theory JJ will keep him at range and just pick him apart, while Anthony Smith exhausts himself in 3 rounds with explosive forward movement, but idk. Anthony Smith can go pretty kamikazee, and I think it's possible he could clip Jon. Smith has good Jiu Jitsu too, so I don't think Jones will try to take the fight to the ground, at least not until Round 3 when energy is a lot lower. Anyway, I'm excited, keeping Smith at range at distance won't be easy for 5 rounds, if it happens, then it'll be underwhelming and seem expected, but I think it's going to be really tense and on a knifes edge, with one mistep allowing a possible KO. Smith is durable AF too, so imo unless Smith punches himself out, then it'll be a decision.

I've seen three of his four last matches, recently, and I'm not really that impressed. I don't think anything he'll do on his feet will do any harm to Lawler. I agree with your Woodley analysis, that's why I had him on the losing end of his bouts with Thompson and Till, but like you said, he probably has one of the highest fight IQ in the sport, so now I'm not surprised with him winning nonetheless.

That Pedro Munhoz vs Cody Garbrant exchange was awesome. New fan here, well spoken too. You've got to give Marlon then next title shot, but I'm good with Munhoz being in the next title eliminator afterwards.
