He already played 48 games this year as part of the starting XI. When Martial went to Man Utd he had done far less. As for the portuguese being good at hyping players I don't really know what do you mean... From the players that were in the Portuguese leagues in the recent past you have: James in Real Madrid André Gomes in Valencia rumored to go to Juventus Matic in Chelsea Ramires in Chelsea David Luiz in PSG Di Maria in PSG, but he has been all over the place. Otamendi in Man City Danilo in Real Madrid Alex Sandro in Juventus Oblak in Atletico Madrid Of course from time to time you have overhyped players but that's the price to pay when you have so many players that turn out great... And you'll most likely see more "overhyped" transfers in the next few month. I'm almost sure that João Mário will go somewhere else by a big sum.
I can only talk for the players that played or still play in Madrid. Di Maria(sold to Madrid for 33M) had like 1 or 2 strong seasons in his career, James (sold to Monaco for 45M) is nothing special, Danilo (sold to Madrid for 31M) is complete trash. Pepe was bought from Porto, advertised as the best CB in the world, for 30M euro... and you know, he has his moments. Of course there are some good players, but nothing different than the other leagues. By overhyping I mean creating unrealistic expectations with the goal of selling the player for higher than his actual value. This is mostly true with players managed by Jorge Mendes... I've never seen him selling for less than 30M euro.

Still, if Sanchez turns out to be on a level with Di Maria, Pepe, James he is worth 35 million, plus you always have the potential that he will be even better than those three

30M for Pepe is one of the best expenses that Real Madrid has done. After 9 seasons in Real Madrid, he has 33 years and and he is still better than Varane and more solid defending than Ramos (and with a lot less less less red cards lol). 9-10 seasons of very solid performance is clearly worth it.
About James, he looked so good last season, he looked like Real Madrid best player. But this year... he is terrible. I agree about Di Maria being irregular at Real Madrid, people only remember CL final, but most of the seasons he was very irregular.

Not to mention Di Maria sold for 75 Million afterwards, so Sanches is also an Investment that might pay dividends in the future, all in all I'd say it's a good buy for Bayern all things considered.

i classify this buy as good as Man Utd. "Bebe" buy some years ago :p

You can't really compare Bebé with Renato Sanches.
Bebé only had played on the portuguese second league while Renato played for Benfica that is currently first in the Portuguese League and went to the Quarter final of the champions league.
The big clubs also know him from the Uefa Youth League from last season. It's not really an unknown player...
In terms of Real Madrid Players that came from Portugal you also have Coentrão.

United are getting dominated by West Ham right now. Wow

It is like nobody wants the premier 4th spot this year.

Martial wants it

United playing the Van Gaal style to perfection. 2 shots on target.
80 minutes gone West Ham 20 shots United 3 Unbelievable
|
This game is so dumb, Blind is not a centerback
|
|
That was a great watch, Always good to see ex-Forest players doing well in the Premier. Antonio is turning out to be some player, he just needs to learn to defend. Plus its always fun to see United lose

This game is a microcosm of one of the major reasons Leicester City are champions

lol sad days for United fans
Toying with our emotions is more than enough to get your ass kicked Van Gaal.
Blind is terrible against teams with a strong/tall front line. Even my 5-month old knows that, he started crying when he saw the line-up with Blind on the back four.
On the bright side we might get rid of Van Gaal.

I'm still not sure why United fans where so posertive about that terrible game against Norwich. 2 shots on target against bascially relegated Norwich. Scrape a poor 0:1 win and united fans suddenly had faith in LVG again. For 3 days.
The more shocking thing is that West Ham lost to Swansea so both United and West Ham have kind of fucked up the race for 4th now.
There's still a little bit of pressure on CIty now on the final day. Swansea despite having nothing to play for have ben playing some good stuff recently. Especially 기성용, he seems to have had a point to prove recently.
|
Well fuck this shit I'd rather United sack LVG than us getting top 4. We will probably get knocked out in the group stage anyway.
|
I will only get my hopes up when we get a new manager. The guy currently in charge is overhyped. While Giggs off the pitch "wanderings" is not doing him any favours to be the next manager.
