He seems to be finding it far harder to mold potentially more talented players but with a larger ego into a functioning team. Meanwhile the team that was so succesful at Southampton has been largelly divided up and a lot of those players are now struggling to repeat their form or simply not looking as good now they have moved on. Pochettino made a team that was far better than the sum of its parts and the big clubs came along and brought up the parts which don't fit togther as well elewhere. Whilst i agree with what you are saying, he has had 12 months to do that and if you can't do that within 12 months and 3 transfer windows. You don't have an endless pit of money at Tottenham but you have enough to bring in the players he wants surely? I thought he would have turned Spurs around way quicker than he has but at least he can point to the game yesterday and say "15 passes we made to score that goal, when we do it it works" etcetc. The issue is the previous manager wasted a huge amount of money (bale money) on players who would never fit into that style in Lamela Chadli etc who he is now stuck with. I think it maybe another season of attempt to push top 6 and then build on the follow year for spurs, which isn't that bad if they make a good cup run and maybe push Europe a bit longer. Who knows what their fans actually want, but they are nowhere near top 4 contention this season but maybe next if they can add in on top of what they got. You should have some experience by now ; ) Wow, that moment you get abuse from Dortmund fans you know you have reached rock bottom in life. However even at our worst we are still not that bad. If we are still in the bottom half of the table by "winter break" you can ask me again ;P Gladbach who i touted as to being shocking after watching them get stuffed opening game by a certain team....as being the next Dortmund are living up to their name however aren't they :D Get champions league > fight for relegation.

edit: It's well worth watching. Villa 0:2 up with 20 minutes to go. Leicester pile on the presure. de Laet's goal is confirmed with goal line assistance. Vardy's dream world continues as he equalises with 8 minutes to go. Nathan Dyer is then clattered after getting just enough on it to bring home the 3 points for Leicester. He's in so much pain flat out on the floor but he must be able to hear from the crowd that he's just won the game. Great stuff.

The lower level teams have definitely improved and some managers are overseeing exciting projects. Gone are the days when Moyes' boring Everton were the best of the rest.

Payet again! 2-0, on a rebound after Moses countered and hit the bar on his own.

Yeah, McClaren has them organised, but the problem is that they're not creating anything. West Ham are looking good, but they're doing what Everton did during Martinez' first season. The defensive grit of the predecessor (Moyes/Big Sam) remains, but they want to play attacking football. They'll crash hard when they go over to however Bilic wants to defend, I reckon.

Martial looks the real deal though, will need game time though but he will get it with just the 3 strikers at Yanited. Im sure he is no2 in the order already ahead of Hernandez.
