anticlimactic? considering the tension from the entire night, that finish was just amazing.

I can't believe the UFC has a camera in Jose Aldo's training area. Give the man some privacy.

But for those who like watching train wrecks here is Jose after the loss in his training room.

It's anticlamactic.. this has been Hyped for months, Would have been better if we saw both at least some exchange.

Also scumbag UFC. They upload this stuff yet they don't upload the previous fights, and even takes down other uploaders -_-

If beating Chad and Dustin didn't silence those "he's beaten nobody" people this sure must have.

they are protecting FightPass subscribers by doing this. its their library. also if you go to that Wrestling.to site with the other word in front of it that means "see" you can get every fuckinkg UFC fight in the history of ever.

furthermore, you can get just about every UFC fight in the past 3 years off of pirate bay. it does not take much original thinking or hard work at all.

and if u r extra lazy.. just buy FightPass.

after pirating 5,000 UFC events i felt guilty and now i subscribe to FightPass.

kinda the same process guilted me into getting TL+ on this site. after using adblock for 3 years i felt like a dick going here for SC2 event info while contributing nothing... so i subscribed to TL+

why did i pay for Brood War? cause i felt like an asshole playing the pirated version for 2 years.

smart companies realize if they make a good product that a few of the pirates with a conscious will eventually fork over the cash.

I'm almost afraid to say this, out of fear of Connor fans lynching me, but... I'll have to see a rematch before deciding on whether or not Connor is better than Aldo. LET ME EXPLAIN!

Aldo got caught. It can happen to anyone and it was similar to the way Cain and Serra got caught -- and we all know how those rematches turned out. Not to say Connor isn't a great fighter (he's fantastic), but I think, in spite of what Aldo said during his post-fight interview, Connor got inside his head, which caused Aldo to foolishly bum-rush looking for a quick KO instead of playing it safe like he usually does.

No he looked like a bad amateur, this can't happen to anyone. He rushed in without anything that even remotely resembles any kind of cover ten seconds in the fight, windmilling at McGregor. Flatout pathetic.

A fight starts well before they enter the ring, and if, like you say, Connor got into Aldo's head, then Aldo's got nobody but himself to blame. Losing your composure and actually just rushing towards the likes of Connor is just plain stupid. So that day, Connor was definitely the bigger, better fighter. What are you going to say if Aldo wins next time? "Connor's previous win was a fluke?", makes you look just as bad as all the Rousey fans screaming for a re-match between Rousey & Holms.

Whoever wins the fight was the better fighter that day, and that's all that matters. Sure, you can have x1 vs x2 & x2 dominating the game and then x1 pulls something out of his/her hat and wins the game... that might spark a discussion about whether or not it was because of x1's move or x2's "nonchalance" which cost him/her the fight, which is a discussion I'd rather leave to those who can be bothered.

About Connor vs Aldo, screaming for a re-match.. if it's to "prove" or "see" whether Connor is actually the better fighter, then no, it serves no purpose, it's a never ending circle/cycle more than anything. If it's for the actual fight and entertainment and a quality fight (or the expectancy of), then sure.

I never claimed it wasn't stupid, nor did I claim Aldo wasn't to blame. Trash talking and mind games are a staple of every competitive sport -- if you can't handle it, then maybe the sport isn't for you. This is not to say, however, that you can't get caught, because you can. It really can happen to anyone. Aldo beating Conor in a rematch wouldn't change the circumstances of this fight, which is that Aldo got caught, just like Cain and GsP got caught.

Does Conor deserve to be the champion? Of course. He won. Can you say with absolute certainty that he's the better fighter? I think that would be unfair.

Cain got caught by JDS, to which I responded on Sherdog by saying: "Ok, I'll give JDS credit: he's a great fighter. But I'm not convinced he's better than Cain, because getting caught can happen and it wasn't exactly a dominant beating. I'll wait for a rematch before deciding!" I got verbally scolded by JDS fans, but you know what happened when that rematch took place? .......

After GsP lost to Serra, some people on Sherdog and other forums screamed "GsP is a fluke! He met his match!" I was one of those who said "Serra won, so he deserves to be the champ, but I'm not convinced he's better than GsP. I'll wait for a rematch. ..... I'm sure you can imagine how that went.

Also, please do not refer to me in the same line as Rousey's fans demanding a rematch. That's an entirely different story. Ronda got dominated and is CLEARLY inferior to Holms. Likewise, Barao got dominated and is clearly inferior to Dillashaw -- they don't/didn't deserve a rematch.

By the way, both of those fighters got/will get immediate rematches, and yet Aldo, who's didn't get dominated and obviously was flash KO'd maybe shouldn't get a rematch? Aaah, Dana White...

I'd be saying the same thing about Aldo if he caught Conor the same way.

So, is Conor a better fighter? Maybe. Was Aldo dumb? Definitely. Did Aldo get caught like Cain and GsP? Also undeniable. If Conor dominates Aldo in a rematch similar to the way Holms and Dillashaw did in their respective fights, I'll give him credit. Until then, I'm not going to parade and shout "Conor is definitely better!" when we've seen examples other fighters get caught and come back stronger than ever.

Connor is a beast. And his story got so much more awesome after this win. I'm a huge fan of his, and it's great for UFC. Whatever happens next, I will buy it. I enjoy all the drama and trashtalk.

But guys, let's get real. This was a huge disappointment. He won, etc, etc, etc. But each and every one of the fighters can get caught with something like this.. it happened so many times before. Shit happens. This was that shit - at least I feel that way about it.

I still (and always will) root for Connor, but I feel sorry for Aldo. He was a phenomenal fighter, and UFC guys just talk trash about him and seem to forget about his achievements. He should get much more respect, and I'm sad when I hear the bad stuff. They threw him overboard. This is just not good

The worst thing - they do not want to give him a rematch because of (money). I get it, but fuck this. I love Connor, but Aldo deserves a rematch. Almost every champion did have it, but now they're acting like Aldo is noone. Fuck this. I am a Connor fan, but this is just not fair.

You do not get rematches on the back of being rolled in 13 seconds after one of the most pathetic display in titlefights in recent memory. If that earns you a rematch, the UFC will lose credibility quickly.

But apparently it's okay to give immediate rematches to those who got thoroughly and convincingly dominated and KO'd/subbed, ala Ronda Rousey, Renan Barao, and Cain Velasquez. It's also apparently okay to give an immediate rematch to someone who got KO'd due to clowning around, ala Anderson Silva (fans have grown sour and the UFC has lost credibility due to this very reason).

But apparently it's not okay to give an immediate rematch to a guy who was champion for over ten years and got caught.

Seriously, man... that makes no sense.

Rousey gets her rematch (if she is able to comeback) because she is by far the biggest cashcow in the female circus. Silva rematch gets plenty of ridicule because it was a shit match no one needed. Your reasoning boils down to we had shitty rematches in the past, let's also have them in the future.

And he didn't magically get caught, he turned his head down, dropped his hands to his waist and windmilled at McGregor ten seconds into the fight, it is flatout embarassing in a fight which should resemble a high level. He got caught sounds like "yeah he had bad luck" and this isn't the case. McGregor punished him for a pathetic display and now it should be somebody elses turn, hardly possible for the next guy in line to do worse.

My reasoning boils down to the fact that none of the aforementioned fighters deserved/deserve a rematch, yet they got it anyway. We saw them get dominated and there is no excuse for that. We've seen examples, however, of fighters get flash KO'd and come back stronger than ever.

Ronda is indeed a major cashcow, but to give her a rematch because of it is unfair and irrelevant. Aldo reigned for a decade, beat top competition and then loses in 13 seconds = no rematch. Rousey reigned for 2 years over largely stale competition, gets dominated for 8 minutes = rematch. Cain beat JDS and Bigfoot, barely fights due to injuries, then gets dominated and subbed = rematch.

I'll agree, though, that somone like Edgar and Holloway deserve a shot (Edgar deserved it more than Mendes did). But I maintain that treating Aldo this way is seriously unfair considering how other fighters have been pampered.
