that entire fight was really weird tbh, it felt that Ronda lost her balance super easily in a ton of exchanges, even when she got the clinch. I wonder what was the cause of that. | ||

I used to like Ronda, but I feel like she bought into her own hype, thinking that beating girls like Bethe Correia actually means she's improving her skill set. Talking about shit like her fight IQ and making up moves in her fights as they happen. Unfortunately for her, Holly comes from one of the best MMA camps period, and they Prepared for everything that Ronda's known to do, and it was a bit surprising that Ronda actually brought nothing new to this fight knowing what she's up against. I guess she actually thought that she would just make up something new in the fight if she had to... makes me now seriously question this Tarverdyan guy. Props to Holly Holm. Putting on an amazing fight. Hope she'll do well for herself in the days to come. | ||

I wonder what was the cause of that. The reason is she cannot box. Her flaws in that regard didn't have much weight until now because of the non existing talent pool in women's mma. She was basically beating soccer moms and housewives some of her former opponents had less than 5 years experience in combat arts. Holm was succesful in women's boxing. The talent pool there isn't too big either but it is deeper than in mma. The moment Holm was able to defend Rousey's takedown attempts, it was clear how that fight would end. She was badly beaten up by a washed up feather fisted former boxer, this doesn't speak too well for her regarding her punch resistance either. I guess many betters made good money on that fight. Holm was 15-1 - 20-1 outsider which is ridicolous. Bookies don't get caught up in hype too often but it happened in this fight. Dana White nearly broke out in tears after the fight, it was glorious Edit: Oh and she should change the people in her corner, if she wants to continue. They didn't even give her basic advice, probably too many yes men in her camp. She circled to the left the whole fight against a southpaw without getting corrected, this is simply ridicolous | ||

Cyborg is much bigger than her and she is a heavy gainer In an eventual matchup she would have to go down even further to a catchweight and she would be totally weight drained. She might take the fight for the money but she will look like a zombie in the weigh in and would probably lose in the first minute. From a sports point of view it is a stupid fight for her to take but it is financially interesting. | ||

I wonder what was the cause of that. she can't box for shit and tried to stand up vs a boxer/kickboxer as a judo expert that was dumb as hell, i cant believe she tried doing that. that was baffling and straight looked bad trying to fight stand up. agree with angrymag, she needs to recognize that and maybe get better coaching. I like Rousey, I think she's a badass, will smarten up and bounce back, but that was a really bad loss. At least it puts an end to that hilariously stupid stuff about her fucking up Mayweather, or being an all time dominant athlete or other nonsense. | ||

Once she got a hold of her she was able to take her down, Holms had to use an especially explosive technique to get out of a sloppily attempted arm bar. Should of traded with her until she got rocked and then should of just stopped chasing and once Holms came forward look for any takedown. I imagine someone in camp was saying something along those lines. She got Andersons's disease, lets see if it breaks her or makes her stronger. | ||

She got heavily hurt and will be eating through a straw for the next 2 months. Will be out for around a year and already had her first surgery. 1 year is a long time, we'll see | ||

Injury report says she had a split lip where you getting this surgery stuff from? You mean stitches? | ||

ESPN's ramona shelburne is saying Ronda did not sustain a concussion. ummm ya. if anything one of those hammer fists looked like a candidate for 2nd impact syndrome. also, sometimes it takes more than a day for the brain to fully react to trauma. Ronda's chin got cracked hard. sometimes people recover from it 100% and sometimes ... not so much. of course ronda's camp has a vested interest in instantly proclaiming all is well because she's got filming to do. Does any one know if Ronda has any track record of recovering from head trauma? i don't think she has one. its not like she is a 28 year old version of George Foreman or Frankie Edgar or Mark Hunt. From what i can tell Ronda has no track record of recovering from head trauma. So this is new territory.. she could recover amazingly fast or have headaches for months.. only time will tell.. | ||
