the UFC wants to put 70,000+ people into the stadium for this event. http://www.sherdog.com/events/UFC-193-Rousey-vs-Holm-42239

The PPV #s are probably equally bad. We'll find out in a few months.

We'll find out in a few months. https://twitter.com/MikeBohnMMA/status/640570150945705985 The real question is why the UFC keeps giving him PPV cards to headline instead of letting him co-main something like a big fox card (like cerrone/dos anjos) so more people can actually see what he's all about.

his 2 previous main event slots occurred because of injury, not because the UFC wanted him by design to be the main event. i guess this is what happens when you have 454897 events per year and injuries take their toll... it'd be fun to be a fly on the wall at the UFC offices to see the finger-pointing going on right now ![]() that said, ya, free TV would be better...don't even have the guy on PPV at all.

The test he failed was from the same company the NSAC basically called "unreliable" when it came to Wanderlei, but now all of a sudden that companies tests are the gold standard. NSAC is just making this shit up as they go along, randomly handing out punishments. It's a joke, and I really hope this is a catalyst for change.

Diaz is a 3 time offender. in 2013 WADA raised the threshold from 15 nanograms per mL to 150 ng/mL. i know a guy who does those "Apotox" medical studies for extra under the table cash and he can test above 15 ng/mL just by inhaling the 2nd hand smoke of a marijuana smoker.

Even as a 3 time offender 5 years is still too much, especially when they acknowledge that it's basically a lifetime ban at this point. HOWEVER, if Diaz straight up failed his tests I would have less sympathy for him...but he didn't. He "failed" 1 out of 3 tests. The two he passed were handled by a WADA accredited testing facility (SMRTL) and the one he didn't pass was handled by Quest. Apparently, the sample that quest got had a bunch of issues with how it was handled. That's ridiculous and the entire ruling is a joke. The NSAC is a joke.

Doesnt he have a card? the NSAC has had a grudge against Diaz for a long time. I really dont like him as a human but even he doesnt deserve this...this is kind of karma getting back at him for being combative with EVERY althletic comission I dont think it will stick.. the NSAC has no real legal ground to stand on now that he has a card
