Wolves trade their first round pick for Thad Young in order to get KG's corpse?
ok
Woj is just popping off right now IT to Boston for Thornton and a First, Brandon Knight for part of a 3-team that sends MCW Ennis and Miles Plumlee to PHI, 2 2nd rounders for Prigioni to Houston, etc. Philly gets the lakers top 5 protected pick for giving up MCW I guess PHX also somehow lands Salmons as part of their deal which is meh
Goran+Zoran to Miami for Granger, Cole, Shawne Williams, Justin Hamilton, 2 1sts
so I guess Phoenix starts Bledsoe and Brandon Knight, gets a pu-pu platter of players plus 3 first round picks for Dragic/IT

Kanter is still shitty on defense, he's a post-up offensive player really and it's not like OKC needs more help on offense, it's kind of meh really. What do the Jazz get out of this? Reports say they get perk but they must get picks as well right?
lol

You can breathe now Miami fans. The nightmare of Miami's PG situation is finally over.
|
2 1sts tho? Guess they're gonna try to make a playoff run around Dragic/Wade/Bosh/Whiteside and think it's worth it.
|
The Thunder did pretty good for someone everyone knew they weren't going to keep and old man Perkins.
DJ Agustin is a capable backup for Westbrook.
|
But what's going to happen when Durant would rather go to the club with Augustin instead of Westbrook? Russel might go games without passing the ball.

I have no idea what Phoenix just did between the IT and Dragic moves and acquiring Knight. Anyone have a graphic of the net of what they gave up and acquired?

For IT they got Thornton and a 2016 1st (Cleveland's pick) For Goran and Zoran they get Granger, Cole, Justin Hamilton, and John Salmons and 2 first round picks. They get Brandon Knight for Miles Plumlee, Tyler Ennis, and the Lakers 1st round pick (top 5 protected this draft, top 3 next, 2 2nds after)
So net they lose: Dragic bros, IT, Plumlee, Ennis, and the Lakers' first and gain: Cleveland's first, Marcus Thornton, Granger, Hamilton, Salmons, 2 1sts from Miami, and Brandon Knight

Haha, a trade deadline worth waiting for!
|
Is McGee going to get more playing time with the Sixers as part of their tanking project? Is it too late for him to make a run for Shaqtin a Fool MVP this year?
|
Well they don't have a PG anymore and he likes to dribble so
|
Isn't McGee hurt again/still? The Hinkie experience is an interesting one though that's for sure. I think I enjoy it more than the mediocre 8seed merry-go-round, and there's much more national coverage which is hilarious.

Well this trade deadline didn't disappoint. So many trades I have no idea wtf is going on.
Edit: Just found out we (Rockets) got Pablo Prigioni and KJ Mcdaniels for Isiah Canaan, Alexey Shved and two second rounders .

bit low key but i;d like to think that the brewer and josh smith moves as deadline moves. the signings were good given that we gave away 2 players out of the rotation and second picks that we can just buy back later. going to be interesting
west even more loaded now with portland and okc picking up great players....gonna be tough run to the finish
|
I think the Heat getting Dragic is interesting as well too. Assuming Bosh/Wade can stay healthy and Whiteside is real then they could definitely play first round spoiler.

Watching the OKC-Dallas game. A few notes:
-Chandler might be on his own but OKC is abusing Dallas on the offensive glass and on lob plays. Nobody is stopping their path to the rim. -Rondo is rough to watch offensively. Too much elevating without a good pass to make. -Steve Smith is a good studio guy but he's Shane Battier level bad doing color commentary.

Russ's True Religion commercial is so Russ.

We would finally be at the apex of basketball. You can read about that in my monograph: The End of Basketball and the Last Westbrook.
