That's the most incredible thing I've seen in 20+ years of watching the NBA.

37 just in the third LOL 11-15 from tre

Klay/Curry vs Korver shootout is going to be amazing
|
WTholyfuckingfuckshit? Haha that was amazing, I wish I had been right there in that arena, that must have been so fucking cool. It might be even more impressive than T-Mac dropping 13 points in 33 seconds, though arguably less "clutch" (I mean, they were tied at the beginning of the fucking 3rd quarter, no need to nuke the poor fellows out of the building, Klay...)

I remember a discussion earlier this season about klay being overpaid?

And some agreeing with the Klay Thompson - Kevin Love trade lol.

And then there were the people who like John Salmons.
Am I doing it right?

Like with any number of young dudes part of the reason they're underrated is cause you can't really anticipate how well/poorly they're going to grow, so you get cases like Klay and Jimmy Butler where people are saying they're not worth the max, and they aren't at the time, they improved more than people expected them to. It's the same reason players like Gordon Hayward got more than they probably deserved, because orgs are betting that they're going to improve.

Totally would have traded Klay for Kevin Love. I thought it was a huge mistake when they didn't pull the trigger. Basketball is hard.
|
I agree. Love looks bad now but honestly Cavs are playing lebron ball and not utilizing him to the fullest extent (combined with a mini slump). There was no way to know Draymond Green would do so well this year or that Klay would continue to improve so well
|
I would probably still make the trade with hindsight for those reasons.
Klay basically had a miracle quarter against the Kings. It's not like he's suddenly like Mo Williams or something. It was amazing to watch though, not sure I've ever seen a dude so on fire from range.
|
The argument for the trade was you thought Love was a top 5-10 player and Klay would not be. I still dont think Klay is, and never thought Love was.
The argument against is that you would then have 2, 1-way players, and a just a rich mans 2012 Knicks.
