Don't know how you can throw Chelsea into this category 2012 - Champions League Winners 2013 - Bad year won Europa League ez 2014 - Semi Final of Champs League with no strikers!! 2015 - Looking solid, very tactically diverse
Also you're reading way too much into group game results. If you get out of your group you have a chance of winning it. Hell Barcelona and Real Madrid have lost games in the group stage before and still go deep in the competition. Atletico Madrid lost to Olympiacos but i still see them making the RO8 minimum. Dortmund the opposite, a bag of shite in Bundesliga but dominating their champions league group. Arsenal Chelsea City and Liverpool will make the knockout stages. Then from there onwards it depends if they turn up.
Also on terms of finances, finances don't mean shit when FFP is in effect, however when you're in a league like La Liga where Real and Barca get staggering amounts of TV money their is a huge gap financially. Having all the oil money in the world means nothing when you haven't got the revenue to compete. Bayern have also sucked up the whole talent pool in Germany with their financial power just ask Dortmund lol. But that is it, Real Barca Bayern and maybe PSG (who do abuse FFP!!) are the teams that look strong. Dortmund are struggling with injuries still but their first 11 is a great team. Other than that i would not say any other team is better than a top 4 prem side, maybe top 3 if you exclude Liverpool. Maybe i am doing Atletico a disservice but im not convinced they can do much better than RO8 this year, but who knows.
But overall imo, i still think premiership teams are as feared as they were when we were dominating the competition back in mid 00s.

ps. As you can see the badges have club names underneath them now to help those who don't know the badge out with who the team is. This is thanks to funkie and his photoshop skills. Thank him if you see him.

So, we beat the english champions last season, the spanish and italian now. If that useless ref hadn't fuck up our game vs malme we would'd have already 99.9% qualified. Oh well.
Our left back is fucking brilliant. I haven't seen such enormous foreign talent with us since yaya.

I still think PSG is overrated...
On the point i think there are two reasons PL doesnt do well: Roster depth and different playstyles. At the very top the trend in the last 3 or 4 years is clearly to have 16-18 world class players, a couple of solid roleplayers and some talents to rotate like crazy. Bayern for example hasnt fielded the same starting 11 this year and it hink they wont at all. The lack of depth hurts teams like Arsenal and Liverpool especially with the high amount of games played in PL.
I have to say i dont follow the league super closely but everytime i watch there is a familarity tactics wise, very physical and vertical, up and down the field what is fun to watch but in CL the game is usually more cautious. There are just no teams like Bayern, Barca or PSG in terms of ball possetion playstyle so they dont get much practice against it.

I think it shows that you don't have the mentality to "hate" the opposing team for 90min. I mean not really hate but when you play vs someone, I as a trainer would want my players to really "dislike" the others for the whole game. I want them to hurt them as much as possible (not in a physical way but in a sportive way)

Sporting is protesting against the 3:4 loss against Schalke because of the wrong last minute penalty decision that lead to the loss. They either want a regame or the money for a draw. This has a high chance of success due to UEFA´s reputation of reverting the ruling on the field.
Or maybe not

I dont realy get how you can argue that pl is weak at the top.. just compare chelsea to bayern, real, barca. they have the most feared coach in europe and a deep squad, top4 contender for cl. Spain is the only league with two clubs standing far out.

Leverkusen against messi comes to mind a few years ago, that was a disgrace..

If I was Sporting I'd scream matchfixing all day seeing how delayed the whistle came.

This seems really questionable.
How many wrong calls stand and end up affecting the outcome of a game and aren't overturned? If you aren't willing to overturn other calls (usually ones that aren't at the very end of the match), then it sets a bad precedent to overturn this call just because it's at the end of the game.

He's solid, although he's kinda weak in defending.

If you look at the average 4 PL teams in CL over the last years they didn't perform poorly, I would say they were even a bit unlucky (probably because chalsea used up all the luck that was meant for the island in this century when they won CL 2012). Imo the reason for the underwhelming results in CL is the absolute failure of tactical development in the last 10-15 years in England.
There are a lot of foreign managers and players in PL but when they don't have a backbone of tactically well trained players to work with you never get the full potential out of a team no matter how much knowledge and skill you impose on them. When I watch PL I admire the skill and dedication that I see most of the time but a lot of time I switch off because it's so mindless that I get a headache.

Should definitely become contender for goal of the season imo.

It's good to see Legia Warsaw doing well, showing they deserved to be in/have a shot at the Champions League.
