my infos were wrong, forget what i wrote.. + Show Spoiler +i just heard chelsea had 30% possession ... at home, after being up one man for over 90 minutes. pitiful, just pitiful.
not that i like psg or what they stand for, but they certainly deserved to advance. they were the far better team in both games.

I don't think I have ever seen a bigger cunt than Diego Costa. You can say what you want about Mourinho but he accepted defeat at least after the game. Costa just wants to start another fight wtf.
That guy is toxic for football.

50%/50% for the possession

HOLY SHIT IM SO HAPPY! What a maaaatch! This is what makes champions league so epic! Will zlatan play next match or not?

No Zlatan (which is good) and no Verratti (which is awful)

Paris is one heck of a team. As a Leverkusen supporter I know this first hand after last year, but man the english teams keep dissapointing. Maybe its just the many games. Schürrle, Kagawa and de Bruyne had a really rough start in the Bundesliga, cause they were in such a poor shape. Hecking coach of Wolfsburg commented that both Schürrle and de Bruyne werent used to the training intensity in the Bundeliga cause in England they have so many games, they barely train anymore.

Verrati is just pure class. Maybe the best player in the world to keep possession under pressure.

well, english teams have more games than spanish, italian or german teams. but PSG is a french team, and the ligue 1 clubs are the only ones besides the PL clubs that have to play a 20team league plus two domestic cups. on top of that, PL clubs are certainly rich enough to buy squads that are big enough for the (potentially) four competitions.

Well, It is the same games that in Spain (20 teams in league, Premier have two cups, but Spain cup is double leg) and spanish teams do well at champions and Europa League. I would say that Germany is the strange with their 18 teams only league xD

German league is constructed in order to perform very well at EUROs and WCs imo

Or just the obvious conclusion that PL has been dreadful the past few seasons. Chelsea is dominating the PL but looks terrible against PSG who aren't even the top contenders in the CL. No teams from the richest competition in the world in the top 8 is very telling that just throwing money at clubs isn't a guarantee for success.

English teams don't have a break during Christmas/New Year, so they pay it in February/March. That and tactically speaking, they're far behind top Spanish and German teams. ..

come one guys, after Real's abysmal performance yesterday there is no reason to bash any league more than the other

You can have a bigger squad, but the guys that played can't train as much as the reserves so the intensity in training is very low. Thats why de Bruyne and Schürrle were in such a bad shape. Another thing is no break during the winter, were a lot of tactical training is done.

Some years ago english teams were dominating the competition with the exact same setup of the different leagues and the CL itself. Right now they are just not that good. The player market is very inflated (clubs have to pay 20-25 Millions for average talent) and they are a bit behind technically and tactically, atleast compared to the top teams. Might be different 5 years from now on, as these things tend to go in a circle. In the 90's the best teams were from Italy, look at where they are now.

Lets not overreact people. Pretty sure the rivers of cash coming in from the new TV deal will make sure Premier League teams will be loaded with top talent and dominate football for years to come. Especially once Messi and Ronaldo start to decline.

i think another funny thing was that after the foul, no chelsea player gave a shit about oscar, all 9 of them ran directly to the ref first to get the red and then they turned to look at oscar. you can even see at the screenshot that only 1 chelsea player is even looking at oscar, everyone else is crying to the ref.

Justice feels good. What a match. The header from David Luiz is magnificent. Thank you Paris <3
