The US team was overall better and I feel like they were more likely to win, but its hard to say from that point. I was anticipating that the US would end up having more legs in extra time...which is where it seemed likely to head. A US vs Japan final would be nice I suppose.

If it would've gone to penalties we certainly would've won hehe :p

All of that said, at the end of the day Germany doesn't have anyone to blame but themselves. If Sasic had buried that PK like she should have, Germany would've won, and everyone would be writing a completely different narrative. Not only that, but if Germany hadn't just basically given up and half-assed in after the U.S. PK, they may have still tied it. Justice wasn't served in this game. The better team didn't necessarily win, and the game was completely decided by the referee's poor calls. However, this is the reality of soccer in both the men's and women's games. It happens a lot, it should be expected, and the Germans still should've been able to win this. Such a disappointing summer from Germany. Two youth teams and the women's team completely bomb and fall well below where they should've. Oh, and the world champion men's team has been utter shit, too. I think the worst thing about this game is the insufferable American media. Both the American soccer teams and the media surrounding them are so incredibly arrogant and self-righteous that I absolutely cannot stand watching them. The bias is completely mind-blowing and I do not look forward to the bullshit narratives about how the U.S. played so well against Germany. They didn't. They played well in the first half, were being out-classed in the second, and then they were given the game by the referee. Instead of riding the hype train like they always do, the team should crack down and shut out the media so they can get ready to (in all likelihood) face Japan, which will be another tough game.

You can't tackle players that don't have the ball. But reffing is part of the game. Still...that was a terrible foul.

In other news, holy shit the new Dortmund kit looks awful. Tacky horizontal pinstripes and a collar. Ugh.

Playing champions league is a great thing in a player career, but money is money. I'm so frustrated about the spanish league management of the last ten 10 years. The Europa League Winner and 5th of la liga doesn't have money for keeping his players, it is very sad. At the end, Sevilla is just the Oporto of Spain.

Ask Roy Makaay. Costa didnt do much in CL besides deserving 2 red cards. But i like that transfer. Only 24 years old, CL proven, good in 1v1, very athletic, can play multiple position including wing defender. I rather take him for 30 then Di Maria for 70 million + X. So what i would like is another option for the defensive right wing (or they move Lahm back there short term) and something dynamic for the midfield (man i would give my left eye for Vidal).

http://www.bvb.de/ger/News/Hintergrund/BVB-verlaengert-Vertrag-mit-Ilkay-Guendogan (DE version). So BVB got a new manager, has kept all of its important players, added Castro, Weigl, and Bürki, are getting Jonas Hoffmann back from loan, and are getting rid of some dead weight (most likely Ramos, Immobile, Leitner, and Jojic and Langerak has already been done). Now all we need is a quality striker and things are going to look a lot more positive than they were a few months ago.

Gazetta says he rejected them after Inter accepted the bid, seems like he prefers to sit on the bench there.
