Chuck Blazer's Confession! FIFA BRIBES"I and others agree that I or a co-conspirator would commit at least two acts of racketeering activity.
"Among other things I agreed with other persons in or around 1992 to facilitate the acceptance of a bribe in conjunction with selection of the host nation for the 1998 World Cup." (FRANCE) "In and around 1993 and continuing through the early 2000s I and others agreed to accept bribes and kickbacks in conjunction with the broadcast and other rights to the '96, '98, 2000, 2002 and 2003 Gold Cups.
"Beginning in, or around, 2004 and continuing to 2011 I and others on the FIFA executive committee agreed to accept bribes in conjunction with the selection of South Africa as the host nation for the 2010 World Cup." it added that Blazer "agreed to participate in a scheme to defraud FIFA and CONCACAF on the right to honest services by taking undisclosed bribes.
"I and others agreed to use email, telephone and a wire transfer into and out of the United States in furtherance of the schemes.
"Funds procurred through these payments passed through JFK Airport in the form of a cheque." on pages 35, 36 and 37 of the 40 page document when Blazer was asked, "is there anything else?", there are large parts of the American's submission redacted.
Perhaps one of the most 'newsworthy' lines coming out of Blazer's admissions is that he was part of a group who accepted bribes for the 1998 World Cup which took place in France.
Reuters are reporting that the FBI is looking into the awarding of the FIFA World Cups in Russia in 2018 and Qatar in 2022, according to a US law enforcement official.

He also took Gold Cup bribes from the US, clearly 15 year long plot to discredit the rumors that this is an US witchhunt. You can't outwit the South African FA that easily!

Lmao, so a friendly between some ex stars and barca/juve ex's is gonna happen. These are the players participating + Show Spoiler + They put fecking figo in the barca team and the barca board immediately reacted
"FC BARCELONA informed UEFA they do not want Figo to represent them in the Legends Game and they have accepted our request"
lololololo, fecking traitor.
|
I think that actually says that UEFA informed Barcelona that Figo will not participate, after a request by Barcelona.
Speaking of traitors, Jesus is close to signing with Sportjng after winning two consecutive championships for Benfica.
|
Portuguese internet is abou to go down Jesus coming to Sporting i cant stop laughing lmao i dont even care if he wins anything Benfica supporters going crazy is all worth it lmao

ye huge lol its kinda like someone from RM going to Barcelona and stuff like that

I'd compare it to Real Madrid and Atletico, not Barcelona. Sporting has an annual budget 1/3 the size of Benfica's but apparently they can afford a manager who was earning 4M/y. Kind of baffling. Not that upset about him leaving, just concerned that the replacement is basically unproven.

i was talking about rivalry not money.

The big rivalry nowadays is between Benfica and Porto. Sporting is just a difficult away game.
PS: I'd actually prefer to hire Marco Silva for Benfica, rather than Rui Vitoria, and complete the switcheroo.

lol the quote Sky are using;
Jack Warner claims he knows why Sepp Blatter resigned and says he has an "avalanche" of evidence on alleged FIFA corruption. Hehe, poor Blatter
|
This is such a joke, the whole media and some people in this thread act as if Blatter is the sole head of ALL shady dealings in the FIFA. Everyone now jumps on the bandwagon against Blatter to save their own skin and the saddest thing is people will actually believe it.
Blatter is one little small fry among an international gathering of criminals. Nothing will ever change as long as not the whole chain of command is going including people like Platini.

Think you are miss reading what people are saying. Everyone who is getting caught is blabbing (confessing) that everyone is involved in it, which includes Blatter. This means that the head of the organisation was involved and a key component, thus you remove him, the police arrest the rest and you have gone quite far to fix the issue.
Everyone blames Blatter the most due to he is top dog and it now looks increasingly likely that he know it was going on and was involved. Getting rid of him is a start, uncovering his part legally is also key.
The chain of command is the executive committee in which several have been arrested already and Blatter gone now as well. 12 member committee has had 4 people leave and the rest may be implemented sooner rather than later which will mean wole reshuffle. Including anyway the incoming FIFA vice president is ex man utd chief executive David Gill and a new President means 2 out of the 12 are going to be credible (you hope in new president's case) and you go from there.

Wonder if we will find out anything in regards to the 98' final.

What I mean with chain of command is EVERY SINGLE HEAD of every national federation. Because they all knew what was going on as well.

Yeah that is true but you can't say every single nation because not every single nation knew it was going on. The nation's doing the bribing plus the 12 executive members were the only ones who knew.
