and yeah they have a couple expensive signings so far but mostly it just seems to showcase how superior LVG is to moyes. ;p Keep it in your pants mate, its preseason!
Vidal + one CB and their squad looks quite a bit better than the one that won 2012/2013 imo. Add to it that they have NO EC competition (which imo was a great boost for Liverpool's PL success last year), that they're probably the hungriest they've been for a couple decades, and that LVG seems absolutely brilliant and the perfect coach for their team right now..
I guess I still have chelsea as favorites but if I were to make a prediction right now, I'd have chelsea 1 manchester clubs at 2-3 arsenal 4 liverpool 5. don't see tottenham or everton really challenging those teams this season.

Either way the clubs are fighting to sell merchandise and make new fans in the pretty large American market. Its great for United fans that Louis van Gaal is been hard on the players and making sure everyone’s in shape and working their hardest. I go the impression with Moyes that he was slightly too much of a nice guy and didn’t work the players hard enough, but that’s complete conjecture from me I have no evidence.
It was at the University of Michigan where Madrid/Man U got 109k spectators, not Minnesota (Minneapolis).
The U of Minn's stadium can't hold that many spectators.
But yea, all of these games got some good crowds. You can bitch and moan, but these games are fantastic for expanding these brands, especially in this country, where our only soccer league looks like a crappy B-league in both presentation and skill (and doesn't have enough clubs to cover even half the country).
Not only that, what the hell else are you going to do for the preseason? These games should be great for preparing for the upcoming season; real playing environment against quality opposition.

lol there goes Benfica again

Really strong Arsenal team starting vs Monaco today. Giroud, Alexis, Debuchy, Cazorla, Wilshere, Koscielny, and Szczesny all coming into the team today. Should be a good test between 2 champions league squads.
Falcao starting for Monaco as well.

Jorge Jesus should've left for Monaco.
He is one of the managers who have potential to win big things with consistent roster and money.

That's a myth...

On other hand, Chelsea losing 2-0 against Werder Bremen with this roster:
Chelsea: Courtois, Azpi, Zouma, Terry (c), Luis, Van Ginkel, Matic, Salah, Fabregas, Torres, Costa.

starting Fabregas and Torres, no wonder they didnt score anything ^^

The myth part was that he is actually a great manager (or the best in the world as he calls himself) because he is not.
Edit: Exactly, I'm not even going to start about the complete lack of communication skills that would be required to work abroad.

I dont know that much but all can i say is that he's a skilled manager, at least for me.
Falcao destroying Arsenal single handedly, ezpz.

Not even a combination of the five best coaches in the world could win Benefica the CL

This a prime example of why Arteta and Wilshere should not be playing together EVER. Replace those two with Flamini and Rosicky and Arsenal would be winning this game. As it is nobody is making things happen.
On the plus side Debuchy and Alexis look really good as expected :D

Poor is too good a term for him

Cmon Pande the refs in Germany can't be much worse than Martin Atkinson and Mike Dean. The former is currently getting warmed up for some huge matches in the premiership by making a complete mess of the end of this Arsenal match >.>

Well that guy said poor young Nathan Ake fouled everyone with every challenge he made in his 20minute cameo yet every tackle he won the ball. Then the main point is, he gave a foul for Drogba using his strength to hold up ball which is ok fair enough you gave that a foul lets see consistency. Nope, the CB man handles Drogba and he says no foul xD
He was extremely inconsistent at least with Mike Dean and co they normally are bad but they don't say thats a foul, then someone else does same thing and isn't a foul, they just say everything or nothing is a foul and changes each week. The ref in that game was just all over the place. Oh well, was pre season. Just feel sorry for the Germans who have him referee their teams xD

I didn't mind giving the JT handball penalty, i mean if you give that handball then fair enough just be consistent so that means the handball in the second half by the Bremen defender was also a penalty but nope not for this ref xD
Oh well, we didn't deserve to win that game, but we didn't deserve to lose 3-0 lol. Was like a 1-0 / 2-1 loss xD
