So apparently an un-detonated WWII bomb was found in a parking area near the Westfalenstadion, and the stadium had to be evacuated. That's scary.

That's scary. This happens daily in Germany. In fact, there are still 5000 (!) unexploded WW2 munitions found in Germany per year. In some areas every time anything bigger than a Starbucks is build they find WW2 bombs and have to evacuate the area.

That's scary. That's pretty standard. If you live close to any big city chances that you'll hear of un-detonated WWII bombs once or twice a year are gigantic. Last year my university had to close when they found a bomb where they wanted to create a new base for our new lecture hall.

There are bombs everywhere in Germany, even 70 years after the war ended. People really underestimate the long term consequences of modern warfare.

Sure but there are areas in which you can live for 15 years without having anything to do with bombs... okay the nearest big city was over one car-hour far away from my birthplace and I never read the newspaper as a kid to check for those things : )
