It is because you hate Barcelona. I see atletico players being very dirty. In the last 3 minutes they elbowed neymar two times, and then slap him in the face with the ball out of game.

@Mensol: So do a lot of other teams nowadays. It's not contained in Spain at all.
What do you know, Messi scores after escaping a )possible) red.

How the fuck did messi stand up to his feet and control calmly the ball so fast? Like, he did that in milliseconds.

Such fast handling when he got the ball back. On his feet, controlled to his left foot and in the goal in less than a second.

Well, it was a nice pass from Raul Garcia. Not very hard to control

Neymar is so a prick.

Cool game! Lots of great football and some usual drama but not that it ruined the game.
|
Yes, the drama was mostly in the last 10 minutes. But it was an intense and fun match, specially the first half.
|
Tbh i called the bs dive pen by ATM right after Barça scored the second. It was the only realistic way they could get back in the game and its just the same old song.

Solid defensive performance, even in the airroom where AM usually dominates.

Dont bother, most haters cant tell the diff between football and mma. Its the same people who call out players for play acting and squeel like little bitches when they stub their toe on a door frame. Imagine having the same feeling every few minutes or every 3rd or 4th touch.
That having been said the ref was a bit of a pussy. Just let anyone who wanted to have a go after fouls free reign. This is not usual at all. I cant remember games where tempers where players were repeatedly having a go at each other after fouls were called. Pretty much self regulating while the ref was busy trying to right down Mandzukic's name in the book. Which took a suspiciously long amount of time mind you.

Most successful dribbles in la Liga: 1. Messi 81 2. Cartabia 48 3. Muniain 45 4. Isco 39 5. Kakuta 38

Are you seriously going to claim that Neymar doesn't go down easily at almost every chance given, just because he has on occasion actually been fouled? He's still a brilliant player, but for fuck's sake.
Messi's goal is pretty magical (unreal close control), but he shouldn't have been on the pitch. The elbow on Gamez and the kick towards Moya are both reds. Garcia could have been off as well for being dumb enough to straight up shove Neymar down, so I guess it evens out, but ugh... I'll just chalk it down to referees everywhere being abominably bad this season, although I'm hearing the ref from tonight is an especially poor one.

The kick is definitely not a red, just dangerous play without intent, yellow. The 'elbow' wasn't anything really. Just a collision when he tried to worm his way past the guy. Yellow would be very harsh.

I woke up at 4am to see this game, and I don't regret it! Barça showed up in the first half, and completely cancelled Atletico (which is impressive already). The second half was more difficult, but still they defended really well, and Madrid could only score with a header or a penalty... which happened and got me scared, but then Messi went all Messi xD
The referee was awful, not even a foul on the agression on Neymar, and so many players could have been sent off... Juanfran's kick on Neymar when he was on the ground was especially dirty... Anyway, that's Atletico when things aren't going too well for them. The intensity they put in these games is amazing, but it comes with fouls and dirty plays every 2 minutes. Now they have to face RM, and they might just pay the efforts they made this week, even with a 2-0 lead.
For Barça, I hope this wasn't just a game where players motivated themselves to react to critics, but the start of their season. Also, medias' campaign to ruin Messi's image and his relation with Luis Enrique is absolutely ridiculous... What source do they have for all of this? I don't remember seeing anything except Messi missing one training session because he was sick... This might all be true, but they are newspapers and they're supposed to relate facts with correct sources, and they have such a big influence on how socios see their club/players, it's just disgusting. Nothing surprising in Spain unfortunately...

He may go down easily but "on occasion" gets fouled? Hes the most fouled player in Europe.. You can probably google search compilation videos of Neymar and Messi getting the shit kicked out of them week in week out. Messi is a bit sturdier, has a lower center and can ride tackles better. he also isnt as prone to making a meal of stuff but it would be false to say Neymar gets fouled "on occasion" I guess we should present more pictures of swollen and bleeding ankles and heels.(oh thats right, google)
Bottom line, if you are'nt a regular watcher of a league and dont have context its terribly silly to generalize.
Also there is no real reason to whine about who shouldve gotten yellows and who shouldve gotten reds. Granted the ref had poor control of the game but he was still to some degree atleast consistent in his incompetency. I dont mind him not sending people off, because the whine from that it would have generated would have been stupid.
If Messi shouldnt have been on the pitch then every atleti player barring Koke and Arda (such a beast this guy) probably wouldve qualified to go off by that point then.
