Bayern will never spend that much money on a player

But this is Barça we are talking about, the same board that sold Villa for 5M.

What the hell are you all talking about?
The only way Messi could leave Barcelona would be if he himself wanted that - and even if so, I'm sure the whole Blaugrana board would probably be willing to serve him with blowjobs just to make him happy in the club again and put the plans of leaving on hold.
There's no such thing as "cashing-in" on Messi because he generates too much of commercial value all over the world to really even think of transfer fee that could compensate for Barca's loss of all that once he's gone. Remember Raul? He was half as famous in Madrid as Messi is now and he only left at the age of 34, which is almost a dinosaur stage for a striker. It's hard to expect anything else here; in fact, Leo might stay even longer considering the phenomenal state of his match fitness in recent years.

You didn't see his interview? He said that he wants to stay forever to barca but the reality is not always as you want it or something like that. Then his agent/father said that they will evaluate any offers if they become accepted from the board.
Revenue from ads and shirts is basically nothing compared to hot transfer $$. He could easily fetch 150m and fund the new Camp Nou. Don't forget that adidas can sponsor a large % of the transfer, so bayern or chelsea could get him for a very enticing sum.
This board is scum though, I'm pretty sure they wanna sell him. They are not football fans, they are business men.

Seeing Messi in the PL would be pretty awesome. Sucks that I'd have to cheer for Man C/Chelsea then though :x

His buyout clause is 250 Million based on his last contract extension that was signed earlier this year.

It's gotta be after a week of no football (or bad games between countries) when people start dreaming about Messi joining Mou lol.

buyout clause means if a club wants to buy him without negotiating with barca
If Barca offers him they don't have to pay 250mil

yeahhhh, but they can absolute dicks about it when they have that sort of contractual leverage.
Andddd that is probably the biggest "if" I have ever heard. Barca offers him,
"HAII Man City Haaaii Chelsea.. OOHH HAII PSG -- we have Messi here with a buyout clause of 250+. Want him for a cool 150 ? "
What an if..
silly troll go crawl back under your bridge, and take your would be clever one liners back with you.

Well no, they arent business men, they are politician that are elected by business mans. Thats why i dont think it will happen because no matter how good you are you will always be the guy who sold the best player of all times. Thats why the Bryants and Bradys of this world are almost unsellable.
But lets say they figure out a way were everyone keeps his face (or head) the only two options that are realistic right now are Bayern and PSG. Bayern would have the "pep advantage" but even besides that they are a good team, they dont have much drama and most importantly they are the top level team that would have to adjust their playstyle the fewest. I could see him in the Ribery role no problem but Chelsea or ManU would have to sell and rebuy half their roster to fit Messi in. PSG could work because of the Football Manager unlimited money cheat and because the playstyle is simular in terms of position game but this is still Ibras team and it didnt work out well the last time he wasnt the best player on the team.
But still it is very unrealistic, Bayern stated a few weeks ago they would never pay big money on a single player, they will most likely buy Reus, a perfect fit for a fifth the money and i think Messi could risk his legacy playing in a bad league for a plastic club.
For PL i dont know i just dont see a club there. ManU maybe saves money for Ronaldo, Chelsea has like every good player that is bad in a messi system, Arsenal doesnt have the money. And if you look for the CL record he will find a better team in Qatar then ManC.

Don't forget that reus has a very low clause.

That's not what I meant. Everyone will offer 25m for reus, meaning everyone will be able to offer him a contract. I think he will prefer to leave germany rather than betray dortmund and be hated by many fans.
Barca could sell messi and buy reus, they will be practically swimming in money, with minimal quality loss and they will finally start grooming neymar to be messi's heir.

I dont think it works that way. I think technically Reus pays Dortmund 25M to leave his contract and become a free agent and then signs a new contract with the condition that he gets the 25M back. I dont want to offend you but i think saying he "betrays" Dortmund if he uses a clause in his contract which both agreed on is a bit stupid. Götze is just "hated" for bad timing and dumb PR by him.
Also this isnt football manager, players dont just go were they get the most money. At least not all of them.

That's preposterous, the only one who could provide "minimal quality loss" after Messi's departure would be Ronaldo.
Reus is an excellent player, but his ability is nowhere near Messi. Last season, he scored 21 goals in 37 apps while Messi got 41 goals in 46 apps. Even though the German would probably improve his stats while playing along partners as good as those in Barcelona, I don't believe he would even cross the 30-goal mark, which means that Barca would probably score between 6 and 8 wins less during the season - something they can't quite afford.

Dave Whelan, Wigan's owner, has just put himself forward as stupidest person ever to be rich.
Somehow manages to make a racist comment whilst trying to defend his newly appointed racist manager from accusations of racism.
