Also it is plain to see that Emperor Stern organized this whole thing years ago, the Big Three in Miami, all the #1 picks for Cleveland, and then LeBron coming back. Stern is an evil mastermind.

if love really does want to play with lebron then he could use the extension thing to threaten potential teams and lower cav's competition for him. idk how he feels about his old team though this would prob be bad form.

I like this Jeremy Lin trade with Houston.

Sure we're helping them clear space to hunt for Melo or Bosh, but getting a pick out of it and with Lin being an expiring it all seems like a pretty good deal.

Stephen A. says Carmelo is now deciding between either Chicago or New York, I always kind of expected him to go to Chicago, it makes the most sense if what he's after is a ring and not just money.

If he does go there, I'd put them ahead of the Lebron Cavs 2.0 easily if Derrick Rose can somehow make it through a season healthy.

I find Wesley Morris of Grantland fascinating (that shows you how artistically illiterate I am) because he is as invested in his analysis of popular culture as I am in, say, political science. It's almost revelatory how he can pull meaning out of things I mostly don't consider at all.

Reading Simmons's article on Lebron (God Loves Cleveland), though, I wonder is he recreating this or is this the delusional puffery of someone who attaches too much importance to sports?
