It's almost revelatory how he can pull meaning out of things I mostly don't consider at all. Reading Simmons's article on Lebron (God Loves Cleveland), though, I wonder is he recreating this or is this the delusional puffery of someone who attaches too much importance to sports? simmons' puff pieces are worse than cancer. And now HOU has to match Parson's offer sheet meaning they'll be tied up for years to come and without picks correct? lebron said he told bosh and wade etc before announcing his decision. unless i misread which is pretty likely

Like they had to sign Bosh first then sign Parsons since you can go over the cap re-signing your own players. This is correct. We have to find someone to sign within 2 days, then match Parsons. If we can't find someone, either we let Parsons walk (which I'm in favor of), or we match Parsons (trade kicker and all) and go from there. Edit: Jordan Hill re-signs with Lakers, FA market drying up.

Also its good for Miami right, because it allows them to get near the minimum salary cap while retaining Bosh as an all-star representative. It also all but solidifies Wade staying in Miami instead of jetting to Chicago, as they can pay him and he can continue to play with a top tier PF.
