Haha I'm short as fuck. I'm only 5'6 or 5'7, lol. I actually am pretty built for a guy my size (my lats, arms, and shoulders are all pretty well developed), but I'm so short that it doesn't really mean anything

Hoping to maybe grow another 2 inches or so, but those chances aren't looking to be in my favor.

What do you guys think of this article? That's some pretty interesting stuff if any of it is true. Obviously their articles and stuff don't only apply to CF since I guess we just assume that many of the top athletes from every sport use drugs, but I found it surprising how many of the athletes in the top 10 of the games are considered to be doping almost undoubtedly.

Pro athletes juicing is hardly news. While being abnormally big doesn't necessarily mean someone is juicing, odds are clearly in favor of it.

The article itself has a strange ring to it though, neither for or against steroids in sports it seems to me. These guys seem so hellbent on appearing neutral on the subject you gotta ask yourself why they bother with it at all.
Excuse me hun, but what is your name? Vivian? I woke up next to you naked and, uh, did we, um?

They might feel a bit of guilt about helping people take drugs that they might be embarrassed about it and just try to pass it off as something that just "happens" in professional sports.

I should also say that I don't read their articles much. I just saw it in the comments of a youtube video and decided to check it out.

I thought it was obvious that folks like Froning were blood doping at the very least; to be honest, it doesn't bother me one bit. Steroids and other performance enhancers make sports like football and BB'ing more interesting and awesome.

Steroids are for pussies, I think it's about time we get a cyberolympics with badass robot punches and jetpack strafing to jazz up the 400 meter sprints.

And fukken missile arrays for the gymnastics!

I find it interesting that they give some leeway with their 25.4 FFMI mean; I mean, top level bodybuilders are ONLY trying to get as jacked as possible. Top Crossfitters are trying to put down the best WoD times they can. I'd say that if someone is training that sub-optimally for muscular growth, it makes sense that a 25.4 FFMI mean gives plenty of leeway to allow for genetic outliers.

I've been dieting with Intermittent fasting for 5 weeks, and I lost 5 kg so far, is it too much? I've been lifting for 9 months, 179 cm 78 kg currently and about 12-14% bodyfat

A decent chunk of that initial weight loss is probably water weight. That's a bit fast to be dropping weight if you keep it up much longer at that rate. Try to aim for ~.5kg a week to spare muscle

I'm sitting at about 27 FFMI right now, and it's nearly impossible for me to put any more muscle on at this weight without taking a PED or without also putting on fat.
The unrealistic sound of these propositions is indicative, not of their utopian character, but of the strength of the forces which prevent their realization.

Now on a scale of absolutely not to no way in hell, do you think you could maintain 27 FFMI while achieving world class endurance without PEDs?

No, and I wouldn't want to try.

As an aside, I think one of the reasons FFMI isn't ideal is because it uses total muscle, when leg muscle is typically less affected by PEDs than upper body muscle. I, for example, have always had very large legs relative to my frame. Probably adds 5-10 lbs of extra muscle compared to a person who would otherwise look similar to me from the waist up.

The only thing to worry about with losing weight too quickly is catabolism of muscle, which can be measured by a loss in strength. What I do to gauge whether or not I am losing weight too quickly is just check my recent lifts. If I am losing weight but my lifts aren't going down, I am in the clear. You can also measure your lifts as a percentage against your body weight (i.e. relative strength) if you are at a point in your lifting career where you can't lose weight without reducing lifts.

Haven't posted in a few days, my left knee is fucked up so I'm gonna take it easy with lower body this week/next (and maybe see a doc if it doesn't get way better)
Also yesterday felt a sharp pain on my right adductor doing power cleans (PR, 95kg PC and jerk) so, def my body telling me to cut back on volume.

Fortunately, I have my powerlifting wraps:

OHP: 70kgx3x8 (PR)
PBN 40kgx8x3, 10x1 (PR)
Fist push ups with 20kg on my back 30x1, 15x1
BB Finger rolls 80kgx10x3

Not really worried about the leg, my knee on the other hand ... :'(

Edit: post 2500 had to involve some PR.

WTF is FFMI?

Checked it.

German Goernner (6 1, 250-290 pounds, visible abs), while not wrestling elephants, believes FFMI is bullshit though (and Igne)

I'm sure crossfiters are juiced to grills though. They compete on untested meets and get 40k for first prize right?
