It's definitely not enough difference that I need a plate under my foot. The thinnest plates in my gym are like 1.5 inches -_-

As for the inserts they come in lengths from 3mm to 9mm. Some of us taller or fucked up leg folk could probably see some benefit them in things front squats and oly lifts. http://gwheellift.com/cork-heel-lifts.html\ http://coachdanbell.wordpress.com/2014/01/17/heel-height-and-position/ Never really been a problem for me since I have good ankle flexibility to accomodate my silly long legs.

It may just be that I'm rotated out again, because my muscle imbalances might be improved but they're definitely not all better. I should probably find another chiro and figure it out. It was actually my tailor that mentioned it to me over the weekend, when I was getting some pants hemmed. It's definitely not enough difference that I need a plate under my foot. Also, the longer you were out of position the longer it may take to fully get it bak into place.

Squat: 150kgx3x3 The extra flexibity from the snatches (could not even overhead squat at first) allowed me to squat with parallel feet, it feels fucking awesome, no more wobbling knee. Will go really light on volume/weight on squats/fs, gonna be a little bitch and focus on form and adapting to squat everyday.

Less than 24 hours ago we were joking around while he was going for squat PRs. The world is a cruel unpredictable bitch but at least the iron always stays the same. R.I.P. Aaron. Just realized this happened a year ago today :/ Thankful for everyday I get in the gym and to enjoy life. Keep up the training everyone.

Cool vid. Found it funny that the BBer was the only one to fail a rep, and was really impressed by the strongman's result - he kept a decent pace, despite lifting twice as much as the WL and almost twice as much as the PLer. Just made a trip to the gym in (another) snowstorm. It's a 12 minute drive in clear conditions, took me 38 tonight going out, and nearly as long coming back. Gym was closed yesterday, due to snow so at least I got the lift in.

Your ankles, hips, and t-spine look sooo tight from powerlifting. I would start doing mobility work asap, it will help you out a lot. You'll be able to recruit more muscles and probably add longevity to your career.

I might need new shoes, current ones have high soles that make it impossible to extend the ankles. I need to straigthen more my upperback (more chest out) but I think its more of a technique issue than anything. Hip mobility is increasing slowly and steadily ;p

snatch and jerk are super technical. I got coached on jerk and I still don't have the mobility for a snatch so I won't recommend anything (except the obvious doc kelly)

I decided I'd try the snatch for fun at the end of my workout so I put the lightest bumper plates on there and proceeded to do the poorest excuse of a snatch I've seen. Actually it didn't feel so bad until I looked at the video after. Anyway, is there a video series you guys would recommend for learning the snatch/C&J on my own? Kind of just doing it for the fun as my optional exercises ^Start there. it's a 3 part series by Glenn Pendlay (and if anyone in the US knows what they're doing, it's him) on the snatch, and there's a similar series for the C&J. I know it used to be in the OP of the oly thread, I don't know if it still is.

I made such great linear progress the last couple of weeks ever since I bought 0.5kg plates for OHP. Now I am stuck at 61kg - just seems so impossibly heavy compared to 60kg. Weird. Really want to push it past 62kg, which is my PR from 1.5 years ago.

Also hovered at 177lb bw since I started lifting again after Christmas break. Decided to start counting my calories again because I'd like to get up to 190 or even 200 depending how it goes before summerish. Up to 181.5 after 5 days XD

Come to find out that he is the exercise physiologist for the USA Olympic swim team, so he works with people like Michael Phelps and Ryan Lockte. Holy shieeet. So cool. I guess he has the right to say what he did lol.

![]() Was talking to my teammate who has a brother at a d2 football program. The only thing they do in the weightroom is hang cleans and bench press. Which to be fair is still probably better than a lot of strength programs lol
